Streetside brings it home stylishly in the northwest

Condo shoppers will find their quest a little easier with three Streetside Development Corporation projects showcased in one location in Royal Oak.

Latitude and Plaza townhomes as well as Red Haus condominiums, all located just off Country Hills Boulevard N.W., are currently all being sold out of the Red Haus sales centre at Royal Oak Way and Royal Birch Boulevard N.W.

“The northwest is such a desirable location,” says Kendra Milne, marketing manager with Streetside. “With so many amenities, road construction slowing down, the upcoming LRT expansion and established shopping, it’s just a great place to be.”

And if the northwest corner of the city close to a quick mountain getaway is where you want to be, Streetside has given you plenty of options.

The Latitude townhomes, distinguishable by their unique tiled roofs, still have two spec homes to offer, with very liveable split-level floor plans, single- or double-car garages and appliance package. The remaining Latitude townhomes are priced in the high $300,000s.

Next door at the Plaza townhomes, buyers can look forward to three very unique floorplans ranging in size from 1,323 to 1,446 square-feet, most of which feature double-master bedrooms (each with ensuite) on the top floor. Some of these 24 units are available for quick possession as spec units as well, and the entire project has been released for sale.

Interior finishes at Plaza include maple cabinets (in a variety of colours) and a black Maytag five-appliance package. Each Plaza townhome also includes a single-car garage. A new Plaza showhome will open in mid-October.

At Red Haus, the first of four buildings, the Lindenburg, is constructed and occupied and the second building, the Salzburg, is well underway, with possessions slated for 2008.

Suites in the Salzburg at Red Haus are available in one- and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from just under 600 to just over 1,000 square-feet. These apartment-style condos include a Bosch and Whirlpool five-appliance package, maple cabinets, Italian-style Kohler faucets, brushed chrome lighting package, all window coverings and heated underground parking. In the spring, construction will begin on the common amenities building, known as the Club Haus, which will feature reception and fitness facilities. Landscaping is being completed as the buildings go up, and will eventually include table tennis, bocce ball, picnic tables and pathways throughout the courtyard.

Milne relates that a diverse crowd is finding their home in the condo market, with everyone from the single buyer to families and owners who are downsizing choosing condos for the affordability as well as the convenient lifestyle.

“We’re finding that the townhome in general is a great alternative for people who can’t get into the single-family market, while people still look to the apartment-style for affordability.”

Streetside has an excellent track record in the Calgary condo market, with projects such as 3111/3101 Varsity, Marda Station, Inglewood Grove and Elements of Mission under their belts and current projects Blue Sky in Rocky Ridge, Robson in Summit of Montreux and Penncross and Tucker Hill in Okotoks on the go.

Interested buyers can visit http://www.streetsidehomes.com for more information on any of their current projects. The Red Haus/Plaza/Latitude sales centre is open Monday to Thursday, 1 to 7 p.m. and Friday to Sunday and holidays, noon to 5 p.m.
