The pride of Rainbow Falls

Sophisticated Chestermere townhomes also easy on the pocket

Style and affordability are mostly at the opposite ends of the home buying spectrum; the phrase “a stylish home” makes buyers on a budget leery, equating elegance with expensive.

Lionsworthe Homes, however, has never believed in such limitations, establishing a name built on quality and affordability with its string of stately, sophisticated townhomes in Chestermere that are easy on the pocket.

“Getting more value for the dollar is really what we are all about,” says Lionsworthe Homes’ Tony Trutina. “We believe in offering a range of products that doesn’t stint on quality yet remain within range of most buyers.”

Their latest offering—The Chalets of Rainbow Falls—continues with this philosophy of marrying sophistication with affordability. A follow-up to their ultra-successful Brownstones townhomes, The Chalets of Rainbow Falls again offers a brimming range of upscale standard features that would usually be considered upgrades by other builders.

“It will be fairly modern and more grandiose than the Brownstones, but aimed more as a starter home perfect for young families,” says Trutina. “It will be very competitively priced. Where else can you find a three bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home that starts at $330,000?”

The 1,410-square-foot Chalets have a uniform open design for its 692-square-foot main floor featuring a huge kitchen built to entertain. A spacious living room and a cosy dining nook adjoin the kitchen and making it easy to host large gatherings. Having a half-bath on the main floor also serves well for this purpose.

The upper floor is offered in three configurations—two bedrooms, three bedrooms or two bedrooms and a den. All have two full baths. “It is completely customizable, and this flexibility that allows buyers to personalize their living space is another of our biggest selling features.”

A spindle staircase, surround speakers, installed blinds and a two-car garage are all part of their more-bang-for-the-buck package, all of it wrapped up in Lionsworthe Homes’ ribbon of top-notch craftsmanship and quality.

The community of Rainbow Falls is a big draw as well, as the peaceful, idyllic location is still just a short 20-minute drive away to Calgary’s city centre. “The Chalets is also located just a five minute walk away from the lake and the waterfalls,” Trutina points out.

Formed in 2005, Lionsworthe’s high pedigree of excellence comes from its association with Truman Developments, which has been building multimillion-dollar homes in and around the Calgary area for 40 years. “We’re part of this family business and we have a similar focus on quality and value,” says Tony, whose father, George, founded Truman Developments.

“I’ve been in this business since I was a kid, and building is in my blood.” What comes with that is the terrific relationship with trades that they have developed, ensuring that their projects have much shorter turnaround times than what has become the norm in Calgary. “We can also ensure the highest quality craftsmanship because of this,” he adds.

No wonder The Brownstones had been such a success, and The Chalets is shaping up to be another feather in his cap as pre-sales for the 21-unit project are going briskly.

“My underlying philosophy is that I will never attempt to even sell a property that I myself will not be willing to buy,” Tony points out. “Our commitment is to create enduring quality and value as evidenced by our attention to detail and our passion to build timeless residences that you call home.” CL
