The Mission Crossing obscures line between indoor and outdoor living space

Calgary is a vibrant city bustling with thousands of unique people, a fact Tricor Development Corporation has kept in mind with its latest project, The Mission Crossing.

This three-storey townhome project is unlike any other, beginning from the ground, up.

The first level consists of underground parking, which offers separate, secure double garages for each of the nine suites. As you drive down into the parking area you gain access to your own private garage through automatic doors, and once inside you are greeted with your own private elevator that rises all the way from the basement to the top floor, offering four convenient stops.

The main floor offers an open and versatile living space with a large modern kitchen—complete with a sophisticated eating bar, stainless steel designer appliances and gorgeous granite countertops. The main floor also includes a spacious dining area and a comfortable living room with a unique fireplace that faces two directions with its two-sided corner design. Randal Dean, president of Tricor Development Corporation, says in addition to the indoor living space, the main floor offers a two-tiered terrace and access to the courtyard from the kitchen. “The outdoor living space is extensive,” says Dean. “Each unit has a private fenced area within the courtyard, and their own private outdoor gas fireplace.”

Even the second floor has its own balcony so those with rooms on that level can take advantage of a little fresh air. This level also includes a luxurious four-piece bathroom nestled between two bedrooms, as well as a huge laundry room that incorporates an abundance of cabinets, a stainless steel sink and a set of high efficiency front loading appliances. As you move to the third floor you will find that the entire floor is dedicated to the master suite. “The master is exquisite,” says Dean, as he describes some of the features of the third level. All units have a balcony off the master bedroom, with the north suites offering two. Each master has an extensive walk-in closet most people only dream of, and a fabulous master ensuite. “This is a spa-designed bathroom,” says Dean. “With a trough vessel sink, a huge glass surround shower with ceiling height slate tiles, and a free-standing acrylic bath with a European designed floor-mounted tub filler.”

As if this weren’t enough to wow would-be buyers, the master bedroom also has a stairway to a beautiful rooftop patio. At the top of the stairs leading to this patio is a glass insert door, which acts as a skylight for the master bedroom. Once out on the patio, owners are afforded stunning views of downtown, and a roof vestibule swooping between each patio, providing added privacy. Additionally, the rooftop is structurally engineered to hold the weight of hot tubs, and each patio has water and drainage for potted plants and any such projects for the avid rooftop gardener.

Throughout the entire home there are beautiful design features and added touches included to create an overall luxurious atmosphere. “All of the living spaces have nine-foot ceilings, skim-coated walls with rounded corners, and extensive metal clad wood casement windows throughout,” says Dean. “This is an extremely high-end project and the location is really next to none other. It has 17th Avenue a few blocks to the north, and 4th street one block west. You can walk to work downtown, and the best that Calgary has to offer is literally right next store.”  CL
