In this age of instant gratification, a luxury downtown high-rise with immediate possession available is a condo buyer’s dream come true.

Churchill Estates, an 11-storey, top-of-the-line condo development by Homburg Centron Teamworks on behalf of Homburg Canada, is offering just that with finished suites available now at 701 3 Avenue S.W.

This 40-suite, English-inspired building is big on style, right down to the smallest details. Names like Hyde Park, Nottinghill, SoHo, Cavendish and Chelsea belie the ambitious design schemes that lay within. And with 15 floor plans and six design schemes, each Churchill Estates condo is completely unique, with only three duplicate suites in the building.
“They’re pre-customized, which is fabulous,” says Judy Hunt, sales professional at Churchill Estates. “You don’t have to agonize over which backsplash to choose, it’s already done for you, by a design professional.”

Interior design schemes in the building range from the more traditional to the very contemporary SoHo bedecked with gleaming white porcelain tile and quartzite counters, and black walnut flooring and cabinets.

The SoHo scheme can be seen in one of the newest Churchill Estates show suites, the 1,454-square-foot, two-bedroom-plus-den, Carnaby floor plan on the fourth floor. A unique aspect of the Carnaby is the separation between living space and bedrooms, and a three-way fireplace separating the dining and living areas.

The two bedrooms and second bathroom are located on a rather private hallway at the back of the suite, while the front opens up into an expansive living, dining and kitchen combination with den.

Though the design is stunning at first glance, a closer look reveals yet finer details, such as the cool, smooth, white quartzite countertops, the transom window allowing extra light into the den, cabinets with book-matched grain, coffered ceiling details and under-mounted sinks.

Five more show suites offer an effective cross-section of the options available, with each design scheme represented. The recently opened 905-square-foot St. Martin is an indulgent one-bedroom plan on the fourth floor. The space is equally divided between the living area and the owner’s retreat, which features a two-way fireplace that is shared with the living room, and spa-like ensuite. This suite is finished in the Chelsea colour scheme, and rich wood runs from floor to ceiling on the cabinets and closet doors of the kitchen.
Interested buyers will also find another St. Martin show suite, as well as the 1091-square-foot, one-bedroom Burberry on the first floor, both of which feature soaring 14-foot ceilings. On the second floor, the 981-square-foot, two-bedroom Ledbury floor plan sparkles with the silver, grey and white Nottinghill design scheme. The Regent, on the third floor, showcases the rich Hyde Park scheme and boasts kitchen that any discerning homeowner would be sure to brag about.

Every Churchill Estates home includes a balcony, the smallest of which measures just shy of 200-square-feet. Condos also come wired for sound, wired for a top-of-the-line stereo system including speakers with separate volume control in each room, and pre-wired for Dolby surround sound and plasma screen TVs.

Condos at Churchill Estates start in the mid- $700,000s and approximately one-third of the 40 suites are spoken for. Buyers who are interested in getting in on a truly unique downtown high-rise with immediate possessions would be well advised to check out Churchill Estates. CL
