Park Place Green
Feeling airy in Airdrie
Enjoying the wide open spaces of Calgary north is the focus of Vesta Properties’ fourth town home development in the Airdrie neighbourhood of Luxstone.
Park Place Green comes on the heels of Park Place Court, a 72-unit town house that quickly sold out last year. Families will begin moving in to the first phase early this summer and soon after those purchasing in the second phase will be able to take possession of their brand-new townhomes.
Park Place Green will expand on Vesta Properties’ multi family offerings in Luxstone, building on a theme of suburban living with an emphasis on the outdoors.
Framing on the first phase has already begun, allowing potential buyers to get a preliminary idea of what they can expect in the latest development.
Vesta Properties’ Alberta area salesman Brian Balson said he expects the townhomes to be no less popular than the company’s previous Airdrie offerings.
“There has definitely been a pick up in interest and sales since mid-December,” he said.
In Alberta, Vesta has based all of its developments in Airdrie due to the proximity to the province’s fastest growing city and the Queen Elizabeth Highway which connects the city to the north.
“Eighty per cent of Albertans live in the Calgary/Edmonton corridor so it seemed like the best place to be,” Balson said.
Vesta Properties has built over 160 homes over the past five years.
The Luxstone neighbourhood provides Airdrie residents with one of the fastest access to the city’s newest amenities, but also a quick trip into Calgary.
It is only a five minute drive to Airdrie’s big-box style shopping centre on the city’s south end.
“It is also easy to maneuver into the north part of Calgary and to the airport,” Balson said.
At home Park Place Green owners will be able to enjoy the year-round Alberta sunshine.
A large great room bay window with a built out window seat is only one of the many features that bring the light in and nine foot ceilings add a bright, airy feel.
Depending on the location of the town home, extra windows have been added, where it is possible and other windows have been boxed out to highlight the sunlight and outdoors.
Windows are also well dressed with two-inch wood mate slat blinds from Hunter Douglas - a standard in every home.
In the kitchen extras like a raised breakfast bar, a corner pantry with shelving and a three piece black appliance package also come standard.
Two models allow for plenty of flexibility due to an optional upstairs loft that can also be built into a third bedroom for no extra cost.
“You could have it as a television room with a futon or move that downstairs and keep the upstairs as a third bedroom,” Balson said.
A rough-in for a bathroom comes standard in the undeveloped basement – which also provides an extra 576 square-feet for homeowners to customize the home to their needs.
Those who not only want to admire their surroundings from the inside can venture out onto their ten by six foot deck, which comes standard with the Park Place Green townhomes.
Perfect for a barbecue and a patio set, the deck further promotes the outdoor enjoyment in Luxstone.
In addition, the nearby Luxstone Park offers fields and playgrounds where children and families can play.
Nose Creek Park, another of Airdrie’s parks connects Luxstone to Airdrie’s 450 acres of community is close at hand for walking and biking.
Starting at the low $260,000s, Park Place Green’s show home can be viewed at 404-703 Luxstone Square. Show home hours are Monday to Thursday 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and holidays from noon until 5 p.m. and at other times by appointment.
