If you’ve ever dreamed about owning a modern castle perched on top of a picturesque hill, then the sales team at Highbury in Shaw-Nee Slopes can make your dreams come true at their grand opening on June 23rd.

Prominently situated on a prime hilltop site overlooking Fish Creek Provincial Park, the high-end luxury tower residences of Highbury present a fresh perspective on the city with an array of dramatic views fit for a king.

Three towers will be built on the prime southwest location that will include 240 luxuriously appointed residences, underground parking with car and dog washes, and a sophisticated amenity building offering Highbury owners spa and fitness facilities, an entertainment lounge and even a cinema.

The three towers, which range in size from eight to 12 storeys, will include a mixture of street-level townhomes and one- to three-bedroom-plus-den condominiums that range in price from $300,000 to more than $1 million, with options for everyone from young, first-time buyers to families and people looking to take advantage of a no-fuss condo lifestyle that’ll let them spontaneously get up and travel without worrying about cutting the lawn or having a neighbour
collect the mail.

With amenities like the Fish Creek-Lacombe C-Train station, Shaw-Nee Slopes Golf Course, banks, restaurants and shopping also at your doorstep, it’s no wonder all of the units released in the first tower were sold at Highbury’s tremendously successful sales event at the end of May.

“As the cost of housing in the downtowns of cities around the world becomes more and more expensive, people are looking outside the city centre for downtown-style homes,” explains David Partridge, regional manager for Maverick Real Estate Corporation.  “With downtown a remarkably quick 20-minute train ride away, Highbury sets a perfect example of the benefits of increasing density outside the city core.  It’s an amenity-rich area for both outdoor activities and shopping. We have a fantastic location right on Fish Creek Park, great access to downtown and to outdoor amenities; it’s all right here.”

It’s inside the suites, though, where the true luxury of living at Highbury shines through.

From CaesarStone quartz countertops and hardwood floors to stainless steel appliances and large soaker tubs included as standard features, Highbury truly appeals to buyers of all ages.

“These are high-end condos. The developers, Perera, with the help of the design team, have created homes that people will be comfortable in with clean, simple lines and very stylish interiors,” said Partridge.

The gourmet kitchen is ideal for entertaining guests and creating a magnificent feast. Contemporary flat-panel cabinetry, available in deep brown maple or natural cherry, accents the neutral coloured walls while a professional kitchen appliance package which includes a five-burner gas range stove, sleek flat-door refrigerator with bottom freezer and a panelled double dishwasher, let the cooking begin.

The spa-like bathrooms contain modern, clean-lined elegant styling with angular vessal sinks, wall-mounted faucets, a ten-inch antique bell shower head, elegant porcelain tile floors and an ultra-long deluxe soaker tub perfect for relaxing in after a hard day’s work.

Inside the glass amenity building is where the real pampering begins. Residents can enjoy access to the rejuvenating spa-like and state-of-the-art fitness facilities, curl up with a book in the library or enjoy the latest blockbuster movie or hockey game in the fully equipped 12-person theatre.

It’s features such as this that are not only attracting buyers from across the city, but especially the surrounding neighbourhoods as well.

“If you like living in the southwest, it’s a wonderful location,” said Partridge. “Because there is no precedent for luxury high-rise living in the area, we believe that this development is truly satisfying a pent up demand for this type of living.”

“The demand for our luxury condos has proven to be so strong, in fact,” adds Partridge, “that we’ve decide to release the remaining suites in our first tower to our registered VIPs right away.”

“We’re selling strictly to VIPs right now, but we’re opening our doors to the public at our grand opening on June 23rd,” says Amber Harder, Highbury’s sales manager. “The only way to get onto our VIP list, to get in ahead of the grand opening and choose from the widest selection of homes here, is to contact me right now.” CL
