Xenex on Twelfth Avenue
Bucci digging the downtown design district
When you’re talking about cool condos, there’s one name that has become especially well-known in Calgary for building great residential condominium communities.
Bucci Developments, (also known as Bucci Group) has been creating superior residential communities is the U.S. and Western Canada for over 50 years, and has been offering these great communities to Calgarians since 1998.
Brenda Kelly, Director of Sales and Marketing, says that the company’s most current projects are RiverRock Landing in Port Coquitlam in British Columbia, and Xenex on Twelfth Avenue right here in Calgary. “RiverRock Landing is a four-storey frame building with 81 homes that are currently selling,” says Kelly. “Xenex on Twelfth Avenue is Bucci Group’s tenth project in Calgary and is now in the process of selling Phase II of the development.”
It may be called Phase II, but Xenex is just one building. The 18-storey, 150–home project started selling every second floor in its first phase and is now selling the remaining floors as Phase II. Natalie Wawzonek, in the Xenex Presentation Centre, says that having only one building in this particular location is actually a bonus. “Being only one building, Xenex allows unobstructed views from all sides,” says Wawzonek. “Sometimes having several towers means that many suites look in on one another instead of outwards.” As it is, Xenex on Twelfth Avenue is situated on what is being called Calgary’s Design District and is surrounded by an abundance of fashionable shops and boutiques, galleries, cafes; and let’s not forget the exciting clubs and nightlife destinations. This location will offer Xenex residents incredible views of the city during the day, and at night - an amazing constellation of city lights.
In addition to its great location and proximity to City Centre, Xenex offers a vast array of different floor plans that cater to different lifestyles. Buyers can choose from Studio suites, one-bedroom or one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom or two-bedroom plus den, three bedrooms, townhomes, or the fantastic Home Office suites. The Studio is amazingly spacious with a full kitchen and eating bar and a separate area off the bathroom that includes a built-in desk which could serve as a small office. The townhomes offer two levels of well-designed living space and are on the first two floors, and all of the Xenex floor plans are designed to be functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. The Home Office suite includes two-bedrooms, each with their own ensuite, a large kitchen, laundry room and spacious living room, and as its name suggests; a large home office. The sizes of each suite range from a cozy 522 square feet, all the way up to a spacious 1504 square foot home, and penthouses will be as large as 1819 square feet. Prices start around $229,000 and the great thing about Xenex is that once you have made a deposit on your home the price is locked in. “Our pricing is firm and cannot increase once the purchase agreement is written,” says Wawzonek. “No matter what happens in the market, you know what your new home is going to cost.”
Construction of Xenex has already commenced and completion of the project is expected to be some time in Fall 2008.
