Villas at Highwood Lake
A Marriage Of Modern Space And Quaint Country Living
As the City of Calgary continues to attract thousands of new residents eager to be apart of Alberta’s booming economy, more people are discovering a new peaceful lifestyle outside of suburbia in the Villas at Highwood Lake.
A 30-mintue drive south on Highway 2 will remove you from the hustle and bustle of the big city life and lead you directly to the quiet town of High River, where WestView Builders is currently developing its latest project, the Villas at Highwood Lake.
The 128 villa-style bungalows provide anywhere from 1,300-square-feet to 1,500-square-feet of modern living space with well-designed open floor plans that include a double car garage.
The Maui show home is just one of six floor plans to choose from and boasts a homey kitchen with a raised bar/island that opens up to a cosy living room, complete with a gas fireplace and plenty of natural light from the large windows.
Forget Buckingham Palace, the master bedroom in the Maui show home is indeed a room fit for a king and queen and comes complete with a sitting area for reading, large walk-in closet and a private ensuite with separate shower and soaker tub that’s perfect for a little R and R.
If forking out thousands of dollars to upgrade your newly purchased home according to your standards isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry. Each elegantly designed bungalow already comes with a variety of sought-after standard features, such as hardwood floors, custom cabinets, stone gas fireplaces, four-and-a-quarter-inch baseboards, nine-foot ceilings, rounded corners and ceramic tile.
Starting from the low $380,000s, each model is ideal for budget-minded customers and gives them the option of including a walkout basement, which backs onto green space, complete with mountain views. Buyers also have the option of building a fully developed basement with a games room and two bedrooms.
It’s obvious not a single detail has been forgotten in the Villas at Highwood Lake, but perhaps the best feature of all is the peace-of-mind maintenance-free lifestyle that’s included with every home.
“WestView offers executive living at a standard price,” said Randy Todd, area manager for Highwood Lake. “A WestView villa is an investment in lifestyle. A great deal of time becomes available when you no longer have to worry about maintenance.”
According to Todd, one of the benefits of living in the Villas at Highwood Lake is the peacefulness and quaintness of the community.
Although High River now boasts a population of more than 10,000 residents, it has managed to maintain its small-town charm, which can be seen as neighbours reminisce with one another outside throughout the Highwood Lake community.
For those who enjoy a game of golf, you’ve definitely hit the jackpot. That’s because anyone who purchases one of the Villas at Highwood Lake within the next few months will receive a two-year golf family membership to the Highwood Golf and Country Club—a 27-hole championship course with practice facilities, driving range, full service restaurant and pro shop all within walking distance like other nearby amenities.
“Everyone knows everyone, so it’s very friendly,” said Todd about the community. “It’s close enough to amenities that you can still get the small town feel, but you don’t have to drive for hours to get anywhere. You just get more for your money when you are in High River.”
Construction on the Villas at Highwood Lake began just a few months ago and sales of the first two phases have been booming.
The Villas at Highwood Lake show homes are located at 1901 and 1903 Riverside Drive and are open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
