Riverside Quays

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WAY TO LIVE… ON THE BANKS OF THE BOW RIVER

Imagine waking up every day and looking out your window at a 43-acre interpretive wetland, chalked full of aquatic habitats, nature trails and a variety of plant, animal and bird species all within minutes of downtown.

Well, imagine no longer.

Statesman is getting set to create the nature-lovers’ oasis in the city with the development of Riverside Quays at Inglewood this June.

Nestled on the banks of the beautiful Bow River and next door to the Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery, Canada’s largest indoor trout hatchery, the development will consist of 695 residential condominiums and garden townhouses situated adjacent to Pearce Estates Park.

The sophisticated Terrace Lofts are available in one-bedroom-with-den and two-bedrooms-with-den suites constructed from the quality and quietness of steel and concrete.  Statesman shall construct this Built Green Project over a one level, steel reinforced, concrete parkade, following LEEDS guidelines and the City of Calgary Built Green Gold Level Standard.

The first two floors of the six-storey building will include their own balcony, while the remainder of the floors will have a solarium with a window wall.
Although no official price tag has yet been set, project manager Paul DuPlessis estimates the stylish units, which range in size from approximately 650- to 1,800-square-feet in the apartment condos and approximately 1,700- to 2,500-plus square-feet in the town homes, will start for the smaller product in the $300,000 range.

Each unit will have at least one parking stall, storage locker space and bicycle storage in a secured underground parkade environment. Standard features include ceramic tile, energy efficient gas fireplaces, energy recovery ventilation, energy efficient windows, energy star appliances, and finely crafted wood cabinets with a contemporary finish.
“We build a high quality product. The buyers will have a number of upgrade options,” said DuPlessis. “The buildings and units will give each owner a spectacular view and opportunity to live  in one of Calgary’s best inner-city communities.”

According to DuPlessis, one of the major benefits to living in this community is that residents can bike to downtown in minutes on the regional pathway and enjoy a myriad of quality jogging trails that surround the area.

The site will also include an 10,000-plus-square-foot,  two-level amenities facility with a health and exercise centre, along with outdoor amenities such as gas fire pits, two outdoor grand barbecue areas, a three-hole putting green, a giant chess game, bocce ball courts, outdoor table tennis, reading corner, a number of shade and water features and a pavilion for hosting outdoor community events.

News of the upcoming Statesman project seems to be spreading fast.  Although no units are yet for sale, there is already a reservation list on nearly half of the available 695 units.
“The project lends itself to those people who choose to be physically active and involved in the community. It has a resort feel to it with a real sense of place,” said DuPlessis. “People see it as a great new addition to Inglewood. Certainly it’s close to downtown with a great atmosphere, a sound investment and project sustainability.”

Riverside Quays will contain six phases with phase one containing 124 units plus the amenities building. The remainder of the phases will begin every six months, while the town homes are scheduled to begin construction in phase three. The entire project is expected to be complete within the next four to four-and-a-half years.

Statesman has been building quality homes and communities at affordable prices since 1976. During that time, the company has won more than 40 awards in over a dozen different categories from the Calgary Regional Home Builders Association (CRHBA) Sales And Marketing (SAM) awards.  Riverside Quays was also the winner for Best Show Home and Best Sales Centre at this year’s 20th Anniversary SAM Awards.  CL
