The Adora Bridgeland Condos
By Sokol Developments Inc.
Calgary is considered one of Canada’s newest and fastest growing cities, and it’s true; we are a young city. However, there are areas of Calgary that have been around a very long time, and have become historic areas of our city. One of these areas is starting to blend its historical elements with some new and vibrant living spaces, making it one of Calgary’s most desirable areas to live in.
The Bridgeland-Riverside community was once an active community separate from Calgary, with access to the city via the Langevin Bridge constructed in the late 1880’s. Many new Canadian Immigrants found their homes here, and between 1907 and 1910 the area was annexed to Calgary. Well, the Langevin Bridge is no longer constructed of wood, but it is nevertheless still there, and an important connection to the downtown core. Nestled between the steep crescent-shaped escarpment to the west, north and east, and the Bow River to the south, the Bridgeland-Riverside community still offers a cosy atmosphere while being within easy walking distance of downtown.
Sokol Development Inc. is a company dedicated to providing superior quality, craftsmanship and designs in all their homes, and this historic community offered the perfect setting for some of Sokol’s newest condominium developments. The Adora, a four-level, 30-unit condo offering spacious contemporary style suites, is the perfect addition to this quiet neighbourhood. Located at 7th Avenue and 4th Street N.E., the Adora is small enough in stature to fit nicely in with its surroundings, yet the variety of floor plans is designed to accommodate almost any lifestyle. Stephanie Ostash, sales manager for Sokol, says that there are about 13 different floor plans, ranging from the one-bedroom with 633 square-feet to the two-bedroom plus-den design with an amazing 1,438 square-feet. “The variety and the range within the Adora is really great,” says Ostash. “Different exposures offer different views and some of the top level suites have great downtown views.”
Of course in addition to its great location the Adora will have some pretty great interior features to boast about. There is the heated underground parking that offers security and limits the necessity of finding street parking, and the comfort of radiant in-floor heating throughout the building. The interiors of the suites themselves will be equally impressive, with slate or ceramic tile in the front foyer, kitchen and bathrooms, and the choice of natural maple, birch or oak hardwood floors throughout the living room, dining room and halls of the main floor, (dependant upon choice of suite). Each suite also offers beautifully crafted cabinetry, elegant hardware and a great appliance package available in stainless steel, and to top it all off, there’s a wide variety of granite selections available for the kitchen and bathrooms.
With prices ranging from around $289,900 to about $699,900, there is a wide range of opportunities for home-buyers. With the desirable location and the attractive units it’s not surprising that more than half of the Adora suites are already sold. “As the older buildings are being torn down, newer ones are being built,” says Ostash. “This means that property values will be on the increase which makes property in Bridgeland a good investment.” Of course, certain historic elements of the community will always remain, and so the Bridgeland-Riverside community offers a nice combination of new vitality and traditional charm. In addition to the Adora, Sokol Developments is also offering the Sienna and Verana; also located in Bridgeland.
