Cardel Lifestyles’ Ranchview Vistas on the rise in Ranchlands

Cardel Lifestyles, the multi-family division of Cardel Homes, is excited about the completion of their newest condominium development, Ranchview Vistas, located in the heart of the northwest Calgary community of Ranchlands.

Cardel began building single family homes in the neighbouring community of Edgemont in 1984 and completed over 1,000 homes by build-out in 2004. Fast forward 25 years and the children of the purchasers of those original single family homes are now looking for housing solutions that allow them to remain close to both their parents and all the familiar amenities they had grown to appreciate in northwest Calgary.

Thus, when the opportunity arose to build a new condominium building so close to all those satisfied customers, Tim Logel, President and Partner, knew it was a rare opportunity indeed as all other nearby land parcels were already developed. Ranchlands was first established in 1977, and the area now boasts an impressive list of amenities; like closeness to the University, Market Mall, Crowfoot shopping centre, two separate LRT stations in Dalhousie and Crowfoot as well as great access via the newly completed upgrade to Crowchild Trail.

In addition to the prime location, the development offers the convenience of the lock-and-leave lifestyle which has become so popular with first-time purchasers seeking the maintenance-free lifestyle offered in a condominium.

The four-storey, 56-unit building features a mix of one- and two-bedroom suites, as well as premium corner units with dens and nine-foot ceilings on the top floor that take advantage of the stunning vistas of the Rockies to the west. Each suite has the added bonus of a underground parking stall which is titled for ease of ownership.

The most popular have been their two-bedroom, two-bathroom units, like the 896-square-foot Rundle and 933-square-foot Cascade. “With two bedrooms and two baths, buyers have a greater opportunity for getting a roommate to help out on the mortgage, or for grandparents to have an extra room for visiting grandkids,” area manager Jamie Proudfoot adds. “They are designed to keep the two bedrooms separate for greater privacy and with no wasted space.”

“We made sure that the exterior of the building will also blend seamlessly with the surrounding community and we took great care in choosing the extensive use of rock, timber, siding colours and batten detail,” he says.

The building is equipped with an elevator, and has roughed-in gas barbecue outlets on each patio. Well-appointed interiors feature maple cabinets, stainless steel appliances, choice of hardwood floors, granite countertops, fireplaces, with each unit boasting the built-in value that comes with Cardel’s reputation for attention to detail both inside and out.

With the building boasting 65 per cent of units already sold, and with recent sales being driven by the added value of record low interest rates and August availability for possessions, this opportunity will not last long.
