The two-building project developed by Pointe of View will not just be a pleasant addition to Calgary’s teeming downtown skyline, but is seen also as a terrific start for the planned revitalization of East Village­ — a long range plan that will see the area just east of the downtown core reborn as a new cultural, social and commercial centre for the city.

Hogan says the development of East Village bodes well for the future of Riverfront Pointe. “It will be a unique downtown district, blending various types of housing with commercial and community facilities to serve local residents and downtown workers. The project is still in the infant stages, but recent private sector development of new condo units in the area show promise that the plan will be well received.”
