If you travel past the Stampede grounds on either the LRT or Macleod Trail, you have probably noticed the tall building that has been going up across the road. This 24 storey building is named Sasso, holds 200 suites and is very nearly sold out.

However, a few premier suites are still available, and the penthouse suites in the Sasso will be selling in March of this year and fortunately, the second phase of this project is already under way. Cove Properties Ltd. has created the Sasso and Vetro on the edge of the downtown core in order to provide a central location and quick access to any destination in our growing city.

Chad Hanas, with Cove Properties, says that Sasso has met with tremendous success and he expects the same of Vetro. “Residents of Sasso will begin moving into their suites starting February of this year,” says Hanas. “Vetro has been underway for a few months now and the expected occupancy for this phase is in early 2008.” The second phase, the Vetro, will offer 34 floors of prime living space, with various floor-plans to choose from, and the same great amenities as Sasso. As well, the Vetro will again offer penthouse levels for those who like to live at ‘the top of the world’.

Some of the features that residents of Sasso and Vetro can expect to enjoy are 28,000 square feet of landscaped plaza and a BBQ and fire pit area for the exclusive enjoyment of residents and their friends and family. As well, there will be an amenity centre with juice bar, hot tub, activity room and sports lounge, along with an exercise and wellness centre. Also included on location of this phenomenal residence will be restaurants and retail spaces, ensuring that you don’t have to go far to enjoy some of the finer things in life. Of course with the city core right around the corner, the energy of the daytime, and excitement of the nightlife will always be available. Shops, boutiques, museums and fine-dining are all a part of living so close to the downtown core.

These amenities aren’t the only great features of Sasso and Vetro however. The attractive stone and glass exterior offers a contemporary style that is mirrored throughout the interior. Beautiful tiled entry-way and kitchen floors pave an elegant path into the main living space of these stylish suites. Large windows allow natural light to filter in, and spacious balconies allow residents to go out for fresh air and some great views. Currently, the sales centre offers a couple show suites and displays all the options available and includes a scaled model of what the finished project will look like when the Vetro phase is completed. You can visit this marketing centre at 1338 1st Street SE, right next to Sasso and across the street from the Bernard Callebaut chocolaterie (another benefit of the location!) These show suites are elegantly designed and represent what Sasso and Vetro have to offer, but by March 1st there will be show suites opening in the actual building itself.

Suites at Sasso and Vetro range in price from $246,900 to $438,900, and square footage starts at 704 square foot and goes all the way up to 1121 square foot. However, the penthouse suites range from 1000 to 1900 square foot, with prices yet to be determined. Sasso and Vetro accommodate residents with various incomes and lifestyles, while providing all residents with stylish living and some of the best amenities available.   CL

For more information you can visit the sales centre Monday through Thursday, noon till 6 p.m., Friday through Sunday, noon till 5 p.m., or go to their website at  http://www.vetrolife.com . If Sasso is any indication, then Vetro suites will be going fast.
