Rising to New Heights
The Montana by ProCura breaks ground in the beltine
The Montana by ProCura, featuring twenty-seven floors of luxury condominiums located in the heart of Calgary’s historic beltline district, will become a landmark of distinction for the area of Uptown 17.
Indeed, since the release of The City’s Beltline Initiative in 2003, which saw the amalgamation of the neighbourhoods of Connaught and Victoria Park, it has been ProCura’s goal to provide elegant living to this historic area.
Their most recent project, Emerald Stone, was the first new high-rise in the area in 20 years and late last month, on the fourth anniversary of the launch of Emerald Stone, The Montana held an official ground-breaking ceremony to kick-off construction of this fabulous new project.
Just blocks from other historic locales such as the Ranchmen’s Club and the venerable Lougheed House, The Montana is going up right next door to the old Nellie McClung House historic site on the southwest corner of 15th Avenue and 7th Street SW. The house has been restored by ProCura and is currently being used as The Montana’s Discovery Centre.
Robert Moroto, Marketing Manager for ProCura says The Montana will be surrounded by all sorts of history, “Because of the historic setting we wanted this project to have a higher-end feel to it, and The Montana will be the first of its kind here in a long time.” Emerald Stone was definitely a higher-end product when it was built, but The Montana will provide home-owners with something even more luxurious. “The Montana offers amazing homes in a higher-end price range,” says Moroto. “In addition it’s in an incredible area that ensures an exciting life-style with fantastic amenities.” Uptown 17 is well-known for its restaurants and cafes as well as the art, culture and shopping that is abundant within its galleries, boutiques and shops; not to mention its proximity to the city’s business core. As well, the area is known for its night-life and entertainment, making it one of Calgary’s most popular and sought-after areas.
The Montana consists of 189 suites, including 13 Estate homes and six levels of heated underground parking. Suites range in size from one-bedroom to three-bedroom and dens. As you enter the Montana’s stunning lobby you will be greeted by a sparkling waterfall, luxurious marble floors, hand-blown artesian glass light fixtures and other elegant features; not to mention the building’s concierge. Designed in the style of a five-star hotel. The Montana’s lobby will offer a wonderful welcome-home to owners and will leave a lasting impression on visitors. Once inside, each home will include independently controlled air-conditioning and impecably designed features; including nine to ten foot ceilings and impressive floor to ceiling windows. This window-feature affords owners panoramic city views or incredible mountain vistas which will in turn enhance the openness of the elegant floor plans. In addition to all the high-end fixtures, appliances and features within each home, the Montana will also offer owners a private exercise facility, and a state of the art integrated lounge and media room.
With suites on the first 21st floors starting at just under the $400,000s and ranging up to the $900,000s, and the Estate Homes ranging from $1.5 to $2.2 million, you can be assured that the Montana is luxury living at its absolute finest. The Montana is already about 70 per cent sold, which shows the level of interest in this high-end project. And, with construction already started, the timing is definitely right for a prime investment opportunity – not to mention a fabulous place to live – like The Montana. CL
