The Lausanne Montreaux Story
As the tallest residential building in Alberta, the Lausanne Montreux is destined to be a distinguished member of Calgary’s dramatic skyline. Residing near the heart of the city in the historic Beltline community, residents of this building will be integral players of an intensely urban, high-density, mixed-use neighborhood.
Lausanne Montreux has a contemporary style infused with a sense of neo-traditional strength and elegance. The eleven-storey podium retreats towards the two towers, maximizing the natural interior light and exterior spaces of the suites. The exterior brick and curtain wall glazing of the podium continue to form the two towers, which are staggered to exploit the very best city, river and mountain views. With the 51 floors, the west tower climbs 157 meters into the sky. And at a height of 141 meters, the east tower houses residents on the 46 floors. Views from the two towers range from, the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains, to rolling foothills and two river valleys, to the spectacular city skyline.
Lausanne Montreux is a mere ten-minute walk to downtown corporate core, Stephen avenue pedestrian mall, and the vibrant shops and restaurants of 17th avenue. Lausanne Monteux residents are literally steps away from where they work, rest and play. Residents can walk to Millennium Park, the world’s largest outdoor skate park, in under five minutes. The building’s central location allows commuters to reach any destination in the city in less than half an hour. And Lausanne Montreux’s location on the northwest edge of the city affords residents with quick access to the Rocky Mountains and Trans Canada Highway.
Upon arrival, residents and guests are invited into Lausanne Montreux by modern landscaping that includes several varieties of plants and spectacular water features. Outdoor seating is available to both the onsite restaurant guests and Lausanne Montreux residents. The building’s carved niches create shared landscaped decks with unobstructed views on the seventh and eleventh floors. The opulent lobby is complete with concierge and luxurious common living spaces. The tall ceilings, water features, and modern textures instill a sense of romanticism that is reminiscent of the Grand Hotels of the early 20th century. The impressive and functional lobby facilitates the distinctive Lausanne Montreux community experience.
With 40+ suite layouts to choose from, Lausanne Montreux caters to a diverse group of individuals. One and two bedroom suites include a spacious den area, three bedroom suites, townhouses and work-live units.
The open-space design concept of all the suites allows light to flood every area. The ratio of wall space reserved for windows is much higher in Lausanne Montreux than similar developments. The extensive glazing enhances the feeling of openness. Each suite is complete wit top-grade amenities. Occupants personalize their space through several choices of finish materials, textures, and appliances. The views from almost every room in the suites have been carefully planed.
Interior areas flow gracefully into the exterior balconies and spacious decks.
Surrounding the occupants’ impressive personal spaces are the lavish shared amenties that complete the unique Lausanne Montreux experience: the Crystal Room fine dining restaurant, the Baccus Wine Cellar, and the exclusive Empire club, to name a few. The tenth floor is home to the Lumiere Spa, which includes the residents’ pool, hot tub, health and fitness space, and two event spaces that are available for private function. The building includes over 630 parking stalls in four heated underground parking levels, and six above-ground floors.
From its fabulous exterior to its opulent suites, spectacular green spaces to breathtaking views, the Lausanne Montreux is the apex of contemporary, vibrant, high-density living in downtown Calgary. CL
