Pretty much everyone is aware that housing in Calgary is at a premium right now. Luckily our city is home to a beautiful multi-family community in the city’s southeast. Hawthorne Homes offers yet another Mosaic project in the community of New Brighton.

The Mosaic New Brighton offers 162 row townhomes, all with attached garages that are characteristic of the Mosaic. However, this particular Mosaic project includes tandem, as opposed to single, attached garages in addition to the double garages. This new feature allows for dual parking in all of these beautiful homes. This is a great feature in a day and age where parking spaces are at a premium almost equal to that of the housing itself.

As well as the great feature of attached garages, Mosaic New Brighton homeowners will be able to choose from four floor plans ranging from 1,008 square feet to 1,224 square feet. The Libero, the Carmon, the Cadence and the Pallino offer a choice between two and three bedroom floor plans and in some cases there is the option to have dual masters with ensuites. Each home comes with its own private front yard, some with balconies, and all homes are pet friendly. As well, New Brighton is a “wired” community and all homes offer in-home structured wiring as a standard feature. Each home is pre-wired for telephone, cable and multi-media outlets, ensuring that homeowners are all set up for when they move in.

According to Erin Kelly, one of the Sales representatives at Mosaic, currently the most popular floor plan is the Libero, the split-level model that is first in the show-home parade. When you first enter the Libero you’ll understand why it’s so popular. This beautiful home incorporates the different levels in a way that each area of the main living-spaces is separate yet open to one another. The contemporarily decorated living room greets you as you enter the home, with the dining-room visible from the loft-style level above. The large front window that reaches up to the height of the next level allows light to flow into both the living room and the dining room and kitchen above. The luxurious tile throughout these areas compliments the clean lines and open atmosphere of the Libero, and the warm maple cabinetry is a beautiful standard within Mosaic. As you mount the stairs to the next level, you are greeted with a seating area and a unique built-in linen storage area below a bright window that act as a foyer between the front and rear masters with their ensuites. This fantastic layout ensures that everyone who lives in this home has everything they need close at hand.

Not only does Mosaic offer beautiful homes, but New Brighton is a beautiful community that is set apart from others with certain design elements ‘reminiscent of the English countryside.’ With architectural details such as High gables, traditional dormer windows, and covered entryways, Mosaic New Brighton adds to the family oriented atmosphere of this great community. In keeping with the family-friendly neighborhood elements, New Brighton features a beautifully landscaped 20-acre Central Park and 12-acre Brighton Pond, where friends and family can gather or just enjoy the surroundings. At the heart of the community is the New Brighton Club, where residents can enjoy recreational fun all year long. This clubhouse offers a wonderful recreational space for programmed activities, community meetings and club events, and is a center of activity in this vibrant community. The attractive 6,500 square foot building includes office and storage space as well as the multi-purpose areas. There are also future plans to expand the building site to include a 4,400 square foot gymnasium as well as additional meeting areas and locker rooms and a full-time recreational programmer who will be on-site to organize all types of recreational activities for the young and young at heart.

Outdoor activities are also a large part of living in this community, with the water play area the place to cool off on hot summer days. 32 water plume jets ensure that this will be a popular spot when the red on the thermometer rises. As well, there is a children’s play area, along with tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. When summer gives way to winter, families can enjoy ice-skating and hockey on a full-sized outdoor rink or the pleasure skating area.

ith all these great features and shopping and other great amenities close by, Mosaic New Brighton is one of the most sought-after town-home communities to live in. Prices start in the high $200,000s offering enjoyable family living at an affordable price. If you are interested in visiting the show homes they are located at 55 New Brighton Gardens SE.  CL
