West 69th Condominiums

How many condominiums have a spectacular mountain view, a huge recreation centre across the street, and are amazingly affordably priced? Well West 69th in southwest Calgary offers all this and more. This location offers easy access to the mountains or even the downtown core, and is only minutes away from the West Hills shopping complex. West 69th is an Apex community so it’s no wonder that this 122-suite, three-story building is also an intriguing combination of contemporary design and practical living spaces.

These bright one and two-bedroom suites include large windows and nine-foot ceilings to imbue residents with a feeling of freedom and well-being. Every suite comes with either a patio, deck or balcony and all come with garden doors leading out to the fresh air. Including garden doors, as opposed to sliding patio doors, allows for better placement of furniture and makes the living space that much more versatile. Another bonus is the inclusion of gas barbeque outlets, which gives residents a chance to breathe the fresh air and entertain friends. Some of the older condos don’t allow barbeques on balconies due to the fire hazard. However, West 69th suites have concrete balconies, which makes barbequing safe while offering more privacy.

Each of these suites has a spacious u-shaped open concept kitchen, which allows the person in the kitchen to carry on a conversation with someone in the living room. In addition to the great layout, each kitchen contains all stainless-steel appliances, lots of counter space and a fantastic number of cupboards and drawers. The reverse cupboards along the raised eating bar and the beautiful double pantry offer greater storage and accessibility. As well, the full mosaic tiled backsplash, the corner niche and built-in wine rack are also a nice touch. Every aspect of the maple cabinetry is attractive and functional both in the kitchen and the bathroom.

The layout of the bathroom is unique as well, with an entrance from the main living area, and another from a bedroom. This feature is available in all four floor plans, with the two-bedroom options having an ensuite in the second bedroom. The two-entrance bathrooms have the added feature of a cupboard containing a stacked washer and dryer system, making it an even more versatile room. The full-length vanity mirror, banjo countertop and built-in open shelving space are only a few of the design features that make these bathrooms more luxurious.

The main living area of these suites includes a gas fireplace with beautiful maple mantle, which creates a nice focal point in the room. Also offered is a space where either a computer workstation or dining area could be created. Each West 69th condo suite can be arranged to suit your unique lifestyle needs. As if all these features weren’t enough to make West 69th a desirable place to live, there are two elevators, heated underground parking, (which anyone who lives in Calgary can fully appreciate) and a storage locker per suite.

The square footage of these suits range from 692 to 983 square feet and offer either one or two-bedroom options. Prices start at $149,900 and end at around $200,000. Possessions started in January so if you’re interested it’s probably a good idea to check them out soon before they sell-out. West 69th is located at 69 Springborough Court SW, across from the Westside Recreational centre. For more information however, you could check out their website at http://www.west69thcondos.com.
