With the launch of Jayman MasterBUILT’s aptly coined new condo division Aspire, the benchmark for excellence in condo living has been substantially elevated. This respected homebuilder has levered its 25 years of experience building innovative single family homes into the creation of an equally outstanding multifamily product.

Aspire goes beyond the building of a project by offering appealing design and great quality combined with convenient and interesting locations at very affordable prices. “Condo living is about lifestyle, not just about affordability, so we wanted to present homes that don’t have to compromise on design. We think Aspire says it all,” says Jim Moir, Executive Vice President of Jayman’s Calgary region.Take for example Aspire’s latest project, Aberdeen on the Park in the award winning community of McKenzie Towne.   Building upon their success with the 2004 SAM Award winner The Versailles in Garrison Green, Aspire once again astounds us with its versatility and excellent design. Situated in the heart of the quaint Village of Prestwick, the Aberdeen affords you all of the opportunities to partake in the active lifestyle prevalent in one of the first communities in Canada to adopt the principles of New Urbanism. Meander through the tree-lined boulevards to the quaint shopping districtof High Street or take a stroll through the three acres of parkland at your backdoor.  “It is a small village within a large city,” says Marlene Crews, Area Sales Manager for the project.

The Aberdeen’s 64 homes are equally divided amongst two three storey buildings, both of which overlook the verdant greenery of Prestwick Common, a three acre milling and playing space complete with cascading fountains and benches. Architecture reflects the historical neo-traditional style that harkens back to a time when life was simpler. The classic well-proportioned exterior is enhanced with two-toned stucco, cultured stone accents and decorative shakes adding oodles of character – something that is sadly lacking in many of today’s new apartment condo projects.

Taking a peek inside Aberdeen’s two show suites illustrates Jayman’s ability to create masterful living spaces. The Ashdon comprises 914 square feet of lovely living space finished to standard specifications. But this two-bedroom suite is hardly standard. Chocolate colour blocking on the walls kicks up the neutral colour scheme adding interest. This combined with 9 foot ceilings and an open yet well-defined floor plan creates the illusion of a larger space. Tiled kitchen and entry way, 50 ounce carpeting throughout, sleek black appliances, richly stained oak flat panel cabinetry and a raised eating bar with black laminate counter tops are just some of the features that this suite showcases. “Aspire gives you a really great package here. You get a lot of value for your money,” enthuses Crews. “ And with Jayman’s styleMagic, buyers can customize the finishes to reflect their taste preferences at no extra cost.”

Enhanced with over $20,000 of upgrades, the second show suite, The Banffshire, is a study in elegant living.  This 1036 square foot two bedroom, two bathroom home features a great room complete with a gas fireplace and mantle surround carved with shelving for your entertainment system. A French door opens out to a private courtyard with gas hook-up for your barbeque.

The kitchen boasts tile back splash, granite counter tops, a wrap around island with raised eating bar, stainless steel appliances and a large pantry, – all accented with maple cabinetry. The large master bedroom features a four-piece ensuite and amply sized walk-in closet. The use of an earthy palette, Mexican tile, and richly stained cocoa coloured floating oak flooring succeeds in adding warmth and depth to this well styled home.

The Aberdeen offers eight floor plans to choose from and each home includes one underground parking stall and an indoor storage area. All homes walk-out to either a patio or large terrace. Lots of visitor parking is available and each building offers a fully furnished guest suite for your out of town company.

Homes start at $130,000.
