Carefree living amidst acres of greenery

When Trico Homes named their newest southwest Calgary condo project Ashton Green, they chose to feature the project’s natural environment in its name.

Located in the southwest community of Evergreen Ridge, Ashton Green offers the best of both worlds – carefree home ownership in a surprisingly natural setting. In fact, Ashton Green offers prospective condo buyers more natural green space than many other suburban townhome projects in the city.

This focus on its environment has Ashton Green owners so happy with their new homes that they’re spreading the word to their friends.

Trico Homes’ Vice President of Multi-residential Tim Tam says Trico recently held a block party for the residents of the 49 Ashton Green townhomes that are already occupied. “The comments were very positive. The people living there are telling their friends to come and see us,” says Tam, adding those looking into Ashton Green had better act quickly as there are only about ten homes left.

The green space around Ashton Green is expansive, with walking and cycling trails that lead directly to Fish Creek Provincial Park. Wetlands galore are also found in the neighbourhood.

The value of the homes, coming in around 1,400+ square feet, is almost unbeatable in Calgary’s already competitive market. Ranging in price from $177,000 to $180,000, and complete with a single car garage and all appliances including washer and dryer, Ashton Green represents consumer value at its best, says Tam.

Each townhome feature an amazing amount of natural light, with huge windows spanning a healthy part of the great room wall. The great rooms also feature 12 foot high ceilings, giving the room a bright, open, luxurious feeling.

Fireplaces are available in some of the units, and two-and-a-half baths are available, including master ensuites.

Each home’s interior features kitchen pantry cupboards, colonial style doors, window blind package and choice of kitchen cabinets ranging from faux maple to pinot white to recessed panel oak.

Decks and patios in this fully landscaped village environment provide residents with the option of full relaxation both inside and outside of their new home.

Trico’s reputation as a Calgary single and multifamily homebuilder is very strong, which also gives its buyers the assurance that they’re buying a quality built home. “Our reputation is very good. We always finish our projects ahead of schedule, and our buyers know that it is a priority for us to meet their possession dates,” he says.

Ashton Green’s market tends to be young couples and single people who like to live life to the fullest. Coupled with the acres of natural beauty, Ashton Green’s proximity to major amenities complete the picture. Shopping and major great transportation routes are all within walking distance to the project, which is unusual, says Tam. “Those things are rarely set up in such a new community,” he says.

Very low condo fees, ranging from just $125 to $130 per month, complete the appeal to prospective Ashton Green buyers.
