You may not like your chances of winning the lottery, but what would you say to a contest where you have a better than one in 500 chance to win? Sound too good to be true? It’s not. Right now, Pointe of View is offering a chance to win a great new downtown condo or a brand new luxury car, in their first-ever Condo Sweepstakes.

All you’ve got to do to enter is look at Calgary from a new Vantage Pointe. Vantage Pointe condominium that is. In fact, every person who has already purchased a condominium in Vantage Pointe, Pointe of View’s trendy new downtown condo development located at the corner of 11th Avenue and 10th Street S.W., has automatically been entered to win.

In July, the second phase of the sweepstakes was launched, letting purchasers of other Pointe of View condominiums, plus members of the general public in on the action.

“We only have 500 tickets available,” says Clark Hogan, Pointe of View’s marketing manager, “352 for Vantage Pointe customers and the rest to be given away through three media sponsors and random draws from people who have purchased other Pointe of View condominiums.”

Grand prize winner in the sweepstakes will receive a one-bedroom, 533 square foot condo valued at $130,000. Second prize is a shiny new 92X Saab, valued at $30,000. Third prize is a stainless steel appliance package. Winners will be drawn at the end of this year.

If location is everything, then Vantage Pointe truly has it all. It’s perfectly situated at the Western edge of Calgary’s downtown core, offering urbanites exactly the kind of active lifestyle they’re looking for. Not to mention the spectacular views.

For Vantage Pointe homeowners, everything they desire is just around the corner, if not right outside their front door. It’s just a few minutes walk downtown to work, the Plus-15 and LRT stations, while a leisurely stroll in the other direction takes you to the exciting nightlife, entertainment and restaurants of 17th Avenue. A new inner-city Co-op grocery store will be right next door, while the condo building itself will feature a modern, urban design housing main and second floor retail outlets offering a liquor store, bank, and a variety of other goods and services.

Fitness-minded residents will appreciate the proximity to river-side pathways for biking, jogging or walking, or just taking advantage of some of downtown Calgary’s green spaces. The common area includes an exercise room, lounge and steam room.

Vantage Pointe will contain 352 individual suites in a secure 26-storey concrete building. Choices range from one and two bedroom suites, to one and two bedrooms with den. There’s something to fit every lifestyle, with suites sized from a cozy 523 square feet right up to roomy 1059 square foot units. Nine-foot ceilings, many with eight-foot window-walls, allow homeowners to take full advantage of Calgary’s more than 300 days of sunshine annually, and those terrific downtown, Rocky Mountain and Bow River views.

At Vantage Pointe even the smaller suites seem spacious, thanks to open floor plans that maximize the useable square footage and minimize wasted space. Well-lit, modern kitchens are fully equipped with sleek black appliances – fridge, stove, dishwasher and hood fan – and tasteful Wenge cabinetry. A stackable washer/dryer completes the appliance package, while ceramic tile floors in the foyer, kitchen and bathroom add to both form and function – they look great and clean up easily. For barbeque lovers, optional balcony gas line hook-ups are available. Heated underground parking makes warming up the car in winter a thing of the past.

“One of the great features for buyers,” says Hogan, “is our design centre where people can choose the colours for their carpets, counter tops, paint and stain. We just expanded the design centre this year, so not only has it increased in size, but our product selection has also increased giving buyers an impressive array of choices and a number of upgrades they can take advantage of to really personalize their suite.”

Pointe of View, who have earned their reputation of always offering great features at an affordable price, has suites available in Vantage Pointe from as low as $160,900 up to $252,900.

A mock-up model of the Condo Sweepstakes grand prize is available for view at the Vantage Pointe sales centre at 1021 10 Ave. S.W., open Monday to Thursday, noon to 7 p.m., and weekends, noon to 5 p.m.

And remember, if the downtown lifestyle isn’t your thing, Pointe of View has condominiums in literally every quadrant of the city, and even out of town.
