Affordable luxury comes to the core
Downtown an attractive option
Pointe of View Developments is continuing its success in the downtown core with an exciting new project in the city’s “The Rivers,” formerly known as East Village. Following on the popularity of their past downtown projects, Tarjan Pointe and Vantage Pointe, the upcoming Riverfront Pointe offers “riverfront living that you can afford,” says Olivia Popowich, sales consultant for Pointe of View, Downtown Calgary.
With the launch of its second phase coming up before February 2006, Riverfront Pointe will comprise four condo towers as well as ten townhomes, to be located at 4th Avenue and 3rd Street SE – the westernmost plot of land in the City of Calgary’s East Village redevelopment plan. This prime location will give residents quick access to the riverside, Eau Claire Market and Prince’s Island Park, as well as the downtown core and all it has to offer.
There is a buzz surrounding the upcoming launch, thanks to the success of the launch of Riverfronts first phase in June 2005. The first building, consisting of 73 units, sold out in one day. Phase Two could follow suit – although the second building is made up of 20 stories and over 200 units, interest continues to grow daily, says Popowich. All units feature large windows, offering great views of the river on the north and east sides of the building.
If the surrounding amenities aren’t enough, there are also private amenities for residents within the building, including a fitness room and owners’ lounge. Riverfront will also feature retail spaces running along 4th Avenue. Condos at Riverfront Pointe start in the $160,000s.
For buyers looking for a quicker possession, Pointe of View still has suites available at Vantage Pointe on 10th Avenue SW. The 352-suite Vantage Pointe, one of the largest buildings in the Beltline, is around 70 per cent sold, with condos available starting at $164,900.
Vantage Pointe condos are available for possessions as soon as a year from now, making the project especially attractive to buyers who hope to buy downtown but don’t want to wait years for their new home to be finished.
Also attracting buyers to Vantage Pointe is its situation on the Beltline, right next to the new Co-op on 11th Avenue. This location also gives residents easy access to downtown, the C-Train, 17th Avenue and the river, and features building amenities such as a fitness room, steam room and owners’ lounge. The Vantage Pointe building also features ground-level retail space.
Inside, Vantage Pointe features suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, nine-foot ceilings, five appliances, contemporary cabinets and heated, underground parking as standard features. Buyers at every Pointe of View development have the opportunity to choose their interior design selections at the Pointe of View design centre, ensuring that your new home feels like your own.
Pointe of View’s downtown developments have received some extra attention lately, thanks in part to the Condo Sweepstakes, where buyers and visitors have the chance to win a one-bedroom suite, a Saab 92-X or a set of stainless steel appliances. More attention has been thanks to the Calgary Lifestyles Lottery. The Lottery, the proceeds of which benefit Calgary hospitals, offers three packages, one of which, “The Metropolitan Lifestyle,” includes a suite at Pointe of View’s Tarjan Pointe. Tarjan Pointe, located at 1111 6th Avenue SW, is completely sold out, but a two-bedroom, 719 square foot executive suite in the building will be awarded to one lucky Lifestyles Lottery winner. The suite comes fully furnished and professionally decorated.
Buyers wishing to get a closer look at what Pointe of View has to offer downtown should visit the sales centre at 1021 10th Avenue SW. The sales centre features a one-bedroom show suite for Vantage Pointe, which also gives buyers an idea of what to expect at Riverfront Pointe. Anyone interested in attending the launch of the second phase should register on the interest list at http://www.riverfrontpointe.com.
The sales centre is open from noon until 7 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and noon until 5 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
