A central location in one of Calgary’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, a reinforced concrete, mixed-use building with convenience and peace of mind at the very core, and an interior design flourish that gives each suite a modern, urban appeal. These and much more are what makes Intergulf-Cidex’s Treo at Marda Loop project such an amazing find.

Marda Loop has been undergoing a transformation that is turning it into one of Calgary’s trendiest districts with unique shops and restaurants, a vibrant, trendy shopping area with its own annual block party aptly named “Marda Gras” street festival.

The Treo at Marda Loop stands at the very centre of this energetic and trend-setting district and the 52-residential unit building brings with it its own sense of grandeur and stylish ambience that adds to the area’s colourful milieu.

“This is one of the most exciting areas in Calgary right now, there is a lot of activity and development going on around here, but Marda Loop is also one of the older neighbourhoods around so you also get mature trees to go with the new buildings,” says Dana Delandreville, sales manager for the project.

The show suites have recently opened and Delandreville says they are getting a lot of traffic from people from the neighbourhood. “We seem to be attracting a lot of folks from around the area who may be looking to downsize but want to remain in their old neighbourhood,” he tells Condo Living. “A lot of them are just amazed at what the Treo has to offer.”

All residential units in The Treo at Marda Loop are two-bedroom apartment suites with a very modern, luxurious feel to them and the two show suites are a good representation of the modern convenience and style that they have to offer.
Designer tile flooring in the entry, kitchen and bathroom give a stylish allure to the suites, elegantly matching the granite countertops with tile backsplash and the contemporary wood cabinetry with glass panels.

The oversized windows allow for a generous amount of natural lighting to brighten up the interior. The designer of the show suite did well to feature lots of mirrors in the living room to add a sense of spaciousness and freedom to the surroundings, bringing the exciting potential of the suite to the fore.

“Units have a full complement of kitchen appliances as well as washers and dryers, granite countertops and elegant cabinetry give it a feeling of luxury,” Delandreville adds. “The Treo is designed to accommodate a wide range of lifestyles from single professionals to couples and downsizers.”

The raised eating bar adds convenience to the stylish yet functional floor plan, making the kitchen at once a perfect party spot for get-togethers and quick meals for people on the go.

Units range in size from 900 square-feet to 1,100 square-feet and there are at least eight floor plans to choose from. Most suites also have two bathrooms (one with a surround tub and the other with a glass shower stall), with upgraded plumbing fixtures from Delta with matching bathroom accessories.

Each unit comes with a parking stall in the underground, heated parkade. There is also a beautifully landscaped roof deck courtyard for residents to enjoy in the warmer months.

Still, the Treo’s greatest asset is its location. “There are a lot of one-of-a-kind shops here and cafes and restaurants to choose from, including the famous Nellie’s which is right next door to us,” Delandreville says.

The Treo has apartment style condos along four floors on top of a variety of retail stores on the main level, which does add that much more convenience to residents.

It’s also very affordable, according to Delandreville, who says they are priced very competitively. “Another advantage we have is that units are all ready for move-ins, you don’t have to wait around for construction to finish, possessions can be done right away,” he says.
