Magical Milano
Italian-inspired multi-family is a hit for Trico Homes
If Milano by Trico Homes were a coffee shop, the line-up would be around the block, as buyers continue to swarm this latest multi-family project. This multi-faceted development has indeed caused such a sensation in Panorama Hills that the first phase sold out just six months after opening.
The 212-unit Milano is a mix project of 80 townhomes and 132 apartment-style condos that appeals to a wide range of buyers from single professionals, young families, and even empty-nesters.
Its stylish, urban flair and fantastic location in the northwest’s fastest growing neighbourhood has proven to be an irresistible combination that has made it one of the most successful condo launches this year.
“We were pleased with the sales in the first phase,” says Trico Homes’ Sales Manager Warren Saunders. “We fully expected to have success with the launch because of the timing of the release and with how the Milano apartment suites and townhomes were positioned in the market place.”
Milano continues its successful run with the opening of its second phase, as clients continue to beeline their way to the new townhome show suites. “Many were very impressed, but it is our existing buyers who have been our biggest advocates, resulting in many referral sales — and that is our true test of success.”
The two show suites are both of the Coretto townhome that show off the versatility of the 1,225-square-foot design. One is a two-bedroom unit with upgraded features while the other is the three-bedroom model with a developed basement.
The 1,238-square-foot Espresso, however, is the bestseller among the three townhome models. “It has the flexibility to be utilized for either a young family or shared living with the option to use the third bedroom as a guest suite or home office. This is very appealing for most buyers and it showed with the sales success we have had.”
Milano is different from most everything else in the area with its four, three-storey buildings of apartment style condos that surround the cluster of townhomes facing a central park. There will be 250 trees planted in the park, and not young saplings, but trees that are at least 80 millimetres in diameter. Walking paths wind through the low-density development enhancing its small village appeal.
“Milano has the rare distinction of being a low-density multi-family development, meaning apartment buildings are designed as three storey versus the traditional four-storey buildings. Buyers of the apartment suites also benefit from having at least one titled underground parking space for each unit, regardless of whether you are purchasing a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom suite.” Saunders adds.
Milano promises tech-smart and future-friendly homes that are stylish and comfortable with no wasted space. Best of all, they are affordable, with apartment style units starting at $181,000 and townhomes at $295,000.
Each unit comes with modern flat Shaker-style maple cabinets for kitchens and bathrooms, a six appliance package, quality Moen Chateau Series chrome plumbing fixtures and even a curved shower rod for a more spacious shower experience. Wide patios and decks are part of each plan, apartment units have underground heated parking and personal storage units, while townhomes have their own garage.
“The overall price and choice of design that Milano offers represents great value for customers, and its amenity rich location is definitely a plus,” Saunders says.
