Leisurely lifestyle by the lake
Townhomes of Chestermere Station promise affordable lakeside living
A life of leisure awaits along Chestermere’s lakeside, as the new Townhomes of Chestermere Station take full advantage of the supremely located development in this small southern Alberta town that’s on the verge of a major growth spurt.
Slokker Canada West’s latest development is located at the very heart of Chestermere, just seven kilometres east of Calgary. The development is within walking distance from groceries, shopping, restaurants and pubs and other lifestyle amenities, including Chestermere’s three-mile-long lake and the bike trails and walking paths surrounding it. The town itself offers a golf course, a state-of-the-art recreation centre as well as public and separate schools from elementary to high school.
“You already have everything you need in Chestermere — an easy, convenient lifestyle complete with all the amenities we need to make life easier,” says Slokker Canada West President Peter Paauw. “This eastern corridor of Calgary is also about to experience major infrastructure development with the Stoney Trail extension adding to the town’s accessibility – when complete the new South Calgary hospital will just be 20 minutes from town.”
The Townhomes of Chestermere Station provide the icing for this delightful package, as it combines this terrific location with unbelievable style and quality and surprising affordability. It will have 245 two- and three-bedroom stacked and row townhomes, starting as low as the $170,000s for their The Manor models, and in the $260,000s for their three-bedroom Sagestone and Heritage units.
The development has already broken ground and has taken off on strong pent up demand for new homes in Chestermere. “We expect to have show homes by April next year and first possessions will follow shortly,” Paauw says. They are maintaining a sales centre in the nearby Chestermere Station shopping centre that’s open seven days a week.
European-inspired finishes with clean, modern lines dominate the interior finishes, whose open concept main floor, nine-foot ceilings and big windows give the townhomes a sense of ease and comfort. “Efficient floor plans make use of every available space, and allow residents to easily define their lifestyle,” he points out.
The stacked townhomes of The Manor range from 810 to 860 square-feet, with lots of storage space, while the row townhomes of The Heritage (1,100 to 1,296 square-feet) and Sagestone (starting at 1,150 square-feet) have their own front drive garages with spacious driveways. The stacked townhomes even feature handicap access.
“Your home’s lasting value greatly depends on the quality of the craftsmanship built into every square foot,” Paauw says. “We work closely with our team of skilled trades to ensure Slokker’s high standards are met or exceeded. That’s why our products hold their value and command high resale prices.”
The Netherlands-based Slokker is one of the few local builders and developers that can boast a truly global presence, with more than 75 years in the business, and Slokker Canada West adds a dynamic, international perspective to the Western Canadian real estate and development market.
Chestermere Station is one of four current developments they have going in and around Calgary, all rely on the developer’s extensive experience in building great townhomes. “We know what it takes to build a great townhome. From the care taken in selecting the finest locations, to the artful approach to architecture, the precise attention to details and creating thoroughly engineered interior spaces,” Paauw says.
Slokker Canada West has enjoyed great success with these various developments, their Sage Hill townhomes have only two units left, and another development in Cochrane is all but finished. Their Silverado townhomes have also exceeded expectations and are about one-third sold.
“The Townhomes of Chestermere Station has also enjoyed a great response since it opened in October, a lot of buyers see the value in the products we offer,” he says.
First-time homebuyers are attracted to the Chestermere Station Townhomes as it offers a lot of the style and convenience they need at a more affordable price. Paauw says they are also getting considerable attention from downsizers and newly singles. “We get a lot of interest from people from Calgary’s northeast and southeast quadrants who see our location as perfect for their needs. People from in town who are looking to downsize are also looking into the development,” Paauw adds.
