WITH A NEW YEAR BEGINNING and belief in the strength of our economy still tenuous, many people might believe that there is no chance to own a new home, if you don’t already.

However, contrary to that suspicion, now, more than ever, potential home-owners want to get into the market and are searching for a way to confidently do so. Rockford Developments is offering an opportunity such as this with Red Willow.

Located in the northeast residential community of Saddlebrook, Red Willow townhomes offer peaceful surroundings with prairie meadows, rolling grasslands and a network of convenient paths connecting to neighbouring communities.

Only minutes from Prairie Winds Park and an abundance of green spaces, Red Willow is also conveniently located close to a variety of amenities. Near to schools and shopping and with excellent access to both Country Hills and McKnight Boulevards, the location is also very convenient to the Calgary International Airport. Lana Campbell, customer service and marketing manager with Rockford Developments, says that with Phase I complete, those interested in Phase II will have even more to look forward to.

“We have already built out Phase I which means all the roads and services are in place,” says Campbell. “Landscaping has also been completed for most of the project, which adds to the value, and purchasers will not have to live through a long period of construction activity with all these amenities already in place.”

Phase II of Red Willow will be offering two different styles of townhome living in the form of stacked townhomes. The Aspen is located on the upper level of the development, and is a bungalow-style unit that offers two bedrooms and 927 square-feet of living space, a balcony at the rear of the home, and a private entrance at street level. The Tamarack is a bi-level style home with two bedrooms and a full bathroom located on the bright lower-level, and a living room, kitchen and dining room situated on the main level. The Tamarack offers approximately 1,000 square-feet of living space, and also offers the option of including a half-bathroom on the main floor. At the rear of the home there is a balcony-style patio, and another convenient entrance.

Prices at Red Willow start at an affordable $199,900 plus GST for the Aspen style units, and $179,900 plus GST for the Tamarack units. This price includes an attractive Whirlpool appliance package, the choice of oak, maple or biscuit laminate cabinets, and several designer décor packages; all in a very open and workable floor plan. Campbell says that condo fees are also very reasonable at just below $152 per month and each unit has private assigned street parking. Additionally, there are a number of titled stalls available for purchase for owners with more than one vehicle.

“At the price point we are offering and with a minimum deposit requirement of five per cent, which is just over $9,000, this becomes a very exciting opportunity to get into the housing market, and it gives the consumer an affordable alternative for home ownership,” says Campbell. “Rockford Developments will be starting construction on two new model homes that showcase these new floor plans so that those interested can view the plans first-hand.”

Currently the company has a show home at 497 Saddlecrest Boulevard N.E. that shows all the standard features and a number of attractive upgrades available to help personalize your new home.

At these prices, and for such an attractive offering and community, Phase II of Red Willow is sure to attract much attention. What better way to start the New Year than with a beautiful new home you can call your own. CL
