Live, work, play, dream
Lofty imaginings realized with Luna’s location and appointments
Located in the desirable, fashionable and central Connaught area of Calgary’s Beltline district, Luna is the final of three residential towers by The Qualex-Landmark Group of Companies. The first two were the highly-regarded Stella in 2004 and Nova in 2006.
Luna is named for the moon and the inspirational aspects that it represents in many cultures. And, while it is an invitation to dream about a better life, it is also a promise of a life that is beyond the norm but not out of reach.
“Every home at Luna will benefit from an attention to detail and specifications intended to exceed buyer’s expectations,” says Chris Colbeck, vice-president of sales and marketing for Qualex-Landmark. At 31 storeys, Luna will be the tallest of the three towers, with 217 generously proportioned and beautifully appointed homes. But this attention to detail extends to far more than just the inside of these homes. “It’s Luna’s strong urban design and planning that create additional value for the homeowners. With the slender architectural form of each tower and the separation of approximately 90 to 100 feet, view corridors are enhanced, shadowing effects are reduced, and suites ultimately gain additional privacy,” says Colbeck.
In addition to eight well-planned floor layouts there will also be six unique and smartly-designed live-work cityhomes and three stunning two-level penthouse residences. Amenities will include a private and professionally landscaped 5,300-square-foot courtyard and Zen garden, including terraced seating surrounding an open-air gas fireplace, fully-equipped fitness centre with spa-like men’s and women’s individual steam rooms with private change and shower facilities, a lounge with wet bar, two way fireplace, pool table, foosball and a pair of guest suites. Underground, secured parking will be available for all homes, and the building will be pre-wired for state-of-the-art access.
The virtues of Luna’s Beltline location are plentiful—proximity to work, play, services, shopping, C-Train, transportation routes, tree lined streets, and views. If you currently live in Calgary you will know the ease with which you can get to downtown or out of town from this central, but not overcrowded, location.
With the city sprawling in every direction, Luna’s location can be very attractive for those who work in or close to the city’s core. “The truth is that every hour saved by not commuting contributes directly to a person’s health and quality of life. And with Calgarians being known for their active lifestyles, it means more time to enjoy things like running or cycling along the Bow River, skiing, mountain biking or whatever pursuit that would replace sitting in commuter traffic,” says Colbeck.
The developer, Qualex-Landmark Group of Companies, considers itself to be a boutique developer and shies away of from mass production, preferring instead that each residential development be a true original. And, while Luna is their third tower in on 12 Avenue S.W., each has its own distinctive features.
In fact, all of the company’s past projects of its 25-year history have become landmark structures, be it Alda, Crandall, Domus or Pomaria in downtown Vancouver, Stella or Nova in Calgary, or a number of resort-based residences in Whistler such as Symphony. And, as such, each has represented excellent investor and purchaser value as well as being coveted places to live. And Luna promises to be just that. Original. Strong. Sophisticated. Urban.
Luna—dream of home.
Luna Discovery Centre is expected to open in late spring.
