WINNING AN award that’s from the heart is the sweetest victory. That was how the Kitchen and Bath Classics, a Wolseley Company, found out that they won the SAM 2007 Partner Award, Builder’s Choice, under the supplier of products with showroom category. Builders use a grading system to rate their suppliers from customer service, their relationship with the supplier down to quality of service and representation. “We’d like to think we won based on our level of customer service, and the personal service that goes along with it,” says Allison Turcotte, builder liaison for the Kitchen and Bath Classics showroom.

The Kitchen and Bath Classics showroom boasts one of the largest selection of brand name quality plumbing fixtures, faucets and accessories, offering the latest in trends and styles that can be found in the market.

Although designed for use by builders, plumbers and their clients, everyone is welcome to see the latest in cutting edge style that is fast becoming the standard in a lot of Calgary homes. “Builders and plumbers come to pick up their specs or even send their clients over,” says Turcotte. Everyone can be assured that they will receive the undivided attention of the showroom’s knowledgeable consultants who can help with design choices to come up with an individual style.

The award winning showrooms of Kitchen and Bath Classics carry thousands of products representing manufacturers from different brand names, with everything from medium to high end products, including bathroom furniture and over 400 faucet choices. “We’re a one stop shop for everything from a tub, cabinets, to every fixture that goes into a kitchen and a bath,” says Turcotte. The Kitchen and Bath Classics showroom also specializes in unique designs, thereby allowing clients to give their kitchens and baths a personal style. “Whether you want something edgy, something that’s not cookie cutter, we help you select products that express your personal style,” says Turcotte.

There’s no denying that the growing reputation of the showrooms extends to who uses their services. “A lot of cabinet and granite companies come to our showrooms,” says Turcotte, adding that Kitchen and Bath Classics’ brand of customer service has helped them become known in the community, getting a lot of referrals from personal contacts and associations.

Part of the fun of shopping at Kitchen and Bath Classics is the relaxed atmosphere that permeates the showroom, aided by the professional consultants on hand. Even builders with their own showrooms opt to come to the showroom. “If a builder has a client that wants something different, they usually ask them to come over. Our builders our confident that we can handle everything,” says Turcotte. To ensure that the builders and plumbers requirements are being met, the Kitchen and Bath Classics’ people hold periodical meetings.

“They trust us because our staff is highly trained in the industry, that they know every aspect of what goes on behind everything we do,” says Turcotte.

As with other companies with a great work ethic, Turcotte credits the Wolseley Company for their great work environment, for being very family oriented and for staff who are professionals in every sense of the word. “We have highly-trained staff, so customers rely on them,” says Turcotte. But the great thing is when other designers book their own clients into the showroom. “They’re welcomed like family. They can meet their clients here. It’s warm and open, so people choose to see what we offer,” says Turcotte.
