Condo buyers who are searching for the perfect getaway in their new home can now consider the “cottage feel” of Chesapeake, Aspire Condo Living by Jayman’s latest project in Auburn Bay.

Not only will this new stacked-townhome condo project give residents access to the area’s exclusive Auburn House beach club, it has also been designed to capitalize on the laid-back atmosphere of the community, meant to evoke feelings of vacationing at the cottage.

Classified as a stacked townhome project, because some residences are situated above the parkade while others are not, Chesapeake will feature back-to-back, three-storey townhomes, each with direct parkade access—no elevators, just straight from the car into the house.

The project will be located along the north end of Auburn Bay Boulevard, giving buyers easy access to a variety of surrounding green space and walking paths. The 43-acre freshwater lake at Auburn Bay is just a short walk down Auburn Bay Avenue, and a future school site is right across the street.

The community of Auburn Bay, launched in April 2005, is quickly becoming well established, with land development more than half complete and well ahead of schedule. With amenities that include a lake, 7,000-square-foot Auburn House beach club and a 13-acre private park and beach, the neighbourhood offers year-round recreation opportunities.

The much-awaited new South Hospital is slated for future construction in the community of Seton just south of the community. Besides the added feeling of security in having a hospital so close by, this also makes Auburn Bay an attractive option for the professionals who will work in the new healthcare centre.

The overall theme of Carma Developers’ Auburn Bay is “cottage country,” inspired by its status as Calgary’s newest lake community. The lakeside vibe is reflected in the community’s architectural design, which includes details such as dormers, shutters, window boxes, cupolas and a natural colour palette. Multi-family specifications match these architectural details and the Chesapeake is no exception.

“The Chesapeake will fit right in with the cottage feel of the rest of the community,” says Derian Harvey, marketing co-ordinator for Aspire Condo Living by Jayman.

These efficient townhomes will range in size from 1,013 to 1,159 square-feet, with prices starting in the low $300,000s.

Inside, kitchens will include maple, shaker-style cabinets and five appliances. Buyers at Chesapeake will have the chance to personalize their new home in the 14,000-square-foot Jayman styleMagic Centre.

The project should be released for pre-sale soon; a sales centre is also slated for the project. Interested parties may register at http://www.chesapeakecondos.ca in order to receive up-to-date information on the Chesapeake.
