It’s in the details: Stonewater Lake Chaparral
StoneWater by Avi Urban rolls out double garages and park-backing addresses
Homes by Avi is well known for their attention to architectural details and incredibly high building standards. It is this reputation they bring to their multi-family division, Avi Urban, and with their recent four 2008 SAM (Sales and Marketing) award nominations as well as their National Builder of the Year, it is easy they were successful in transferring their expertise.
Avi Urban’s latest project, StoneWater at Lake Chaparral, is a 142-unit townhome project that offers a young, urban, modern twist to an established estate community. “This has been a very successful project for us and we are extremely excited to be releasing the final phase of homes,” says Anita Bustos, corporate marketing manager for Homes by Avi. “With double-attached garage homes starting in the $350,000s, it really appeals to everyone from the first time buyer to the empty nester looking to downsize.”
The majority of the remaining 30 homes all feature double-attached garages and back onto the park. “This shift from our initial offering of homes featuring single-car garages and private backyards offers buyers increased interior parking space and rear decks that over look the central park area,” says Homes by Avi vice-president of product development, Charron Ungar.
StoneWater rethinks the concept of suburban townhouse developments. Town-houses face outward onto the surrounding community and its upscale homes rather than inward towards a parking lot. Much attention has also been given to the project’s streetscape, with tree-lined boulevards and West Coast-inspired architecture. “The architecture draws inspiration from hues and material found in nature, for a rustic Craftsman appearance with a modern twist,” says Ungar.
The same level of attention given to the exterior is carried inside the homes.
“Three unique floor plans range in size from 1,269 to 1,460 square-feet and draw inspiration from mountain homes found in Canmore and Whistler.” Ungar also adds high-end finishings such as mosaic tile, stained maple cabinets, solid surface countertops, great room fireplaces and hardwood and tile flooring are all standard.A myriad green features are designed to reduce your impact on the environment and save you money.
“All Homes by Avi and Avi Urban’s homes include high-efficiency furnaces and hot water tanks, low-VOC paints and adhesives, water-smart plumbing fixtures and a complete home insulation system with an R-40 rating” says Ungar. “We have also made sure to use sustainable products whenever possible such as hardwood flooring from managed forests.”
Possibly one of the best features of this project is the community. Genstar’s master-planned community of Lake Chaparral was established about ten years ago, and is highly sought after due to its four-season lake.
In addition to the envious lake lifestyle, StoneWater residents are rewarded with all south Calgary has to offer. Residents can spend the day shopping, cycling or strolling along the Bow River pathways; play a round of golf at nearby courses; meet friends for dinner and then head out to a movie. Downtown is only 20 minutes by car, and nearby Marquis of Lorne Trail means you can be headed west towards the mountains in almost no time.
