Georgia on their minds
Home stretch in view for Robson buyers in the Summit of Montreux
Inside and out, Robson by Streetside Developments has a lot to offer buyers. This apartment-style condo project boasts an enviable location, exceptional value, open, modern suites and fast-approaching possession dates.
“People are attracted to Robson’s desirable southwest location, in the heart of a sought-after, single-family residential community,” says Robson sales consultant Nan Robinson, referring to the new community of Summit of Montreux, located along 85 Street S.W., just south of 17 Avenue.
This location offers the best of both worlds, with the downtown core just minutes away and easy access to recreation opportunities west of the city. Shopping and services are also close by, with West Hills and Signal Hill shopping areas and the WestSide Recreation Centre both easily accessible, and Aspen Landing, a brand-new, pedestrian-friendly shopping centre under development at the northeast corner of the 17 Avenue and 85 Street intersection.
Robson condos range from 670 to 1022 square-feet, in one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Three show suites plus the sales office, which is located in a suite (the two-bedroom, 940-square-foot Georgia) give a good impression of the available options, with the two-bedroom, 1,002-square-foot Gilford corner unit, the two-bedroom, 878-square-foot Stanley and the one-bedroom, 670-square-foot Burnaby all open for perusing.
The Burnaby presents an efficient and attractive option to the single buyer, young couple or empty nester, with stylish interior finishing and an open and functional floor plan. The kitchen, located near the entrance, overlooks a breakfast bar, dining area and living room, which opens onto a small patio via a French door. There is also a built-in computer desk.
Sleek, dark finishes give a modern, yet warm, feeling to this show suite, and everything featured is standard. This includes the unique iridescent ceramic tile in the kitchen and Berber carpet throughout the rest of the home, as well as the tile backsplash, Silgranit sink, brushed chrome Delta faucets, five appliances (from Bosch and Whirlpool in black) and a full lighting package.
The dual-access bathroom gives the effect of an ensuite while remaining available to guests. Access to the bedroom is through a roomy walk-through closet. In the bedroom, large windows overlook the outdoor landscaping and brighten the room.
Three-foot-wide doors throughout make suites at Robson highly accessible and simplify the process of moving furniture into the home.
The other, larger showsuites feature similar interior finishings. The larger and very open Stanley showsuite tends to be the favourite, says Robinson, thanks in part to its versatility. With a large, open layout in the centre of the plan which includes the kitchen, dining area and living room and one bedroom with attached bathroom to either side of the condo, the Stanley is a great option for roommates, parent and child, or any pairing of co-habitants who wish to retain a certain level of privacy.
Here, the main bedroom includes a true ensuite bath, accessible through a walk-through closet, while the second bedroom features access, also through a walk-through closet, to the main bath, which includes space for a stacking washer and dryer.
Efficient use of space is a recurring theme at Robson, with features such as the built-in computer desk and walk-through closets maximizing on space. “Buyers appreciate the openness and efficiency of the designs, the attention to detail, and the high overall quality of the finishing and appliances,” confirms Robinson.
The third plan, the Gilford, is a corner suite and the largest of the three model suites. The Gilford is unique in its layout, with a variety of private spaces throughout the home. From the front foyer, a hallway to one side leads to the main bathroom and second bedroom, which features private access to the patio. The kitchen and dining room are located straight ahead from the front entrance, with the main bedroom (including an ensuite) to one side and the living room, with patio access, located in the outside corner of the suite.
The building, which comprises three storeys over five levels, is approximately 75 per cent sold and is expected to be complete this spring. Pricing starts in the mid-$200,000s. All remaining condos feature pre-selected interior finishes, meaning extra costs due to upgrades are not a concern. “What you see is what you get,” says Robinson, adding the fact all selections have been chosen by design professionals is an added perk.
Robson is located at 26 Val Guardina View S.W. Sales centre hours are Monday to Thursday, 1 to 7 p.m., and weekends and holidays from noon to 5 p.m. Interested parties can visit http://www.robson-living.com for further information.
