Life’s a Breeze in Airdrie

New condo development a breath of fresh air

Only a 20-minute drive to the hustle and bustle of Calgary’s downtown core, The Breeze is nestled among a sprawling landscape of 40 percent green space and offers a variety of lifestyle choices with 89 apartment condominiums and 36 townhomes currently under development in this self-sustaining, refreshing community.

The Breeze is Airdrie’s newest family-oriented development in the illustrious and calming residential community of Bayside. From spacious three-bedroom townhomes (averaging 1,611 square-feet) with double-attached garages, to one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment-style condos (ranging from 727 to 1,378 square-feet) that offer secure, heated underground parking, and the established neighbourhood boasts mature landscaping and fabulous views of the countryside.

The Breeze’s move-in dates are slated for January 1, 2009. The sales centre is currently under development and will open in Airdire this month, while about 20 residences have already been pre-sold. The Breeze is also close to all major amenities including parks and canals, schools, golf courses, recreational facilities and major shopping outlets.

“The establishment of the mature community that surrounds The Breeze is very appealing to our clients,” says Baiton. “There is easy access for those who still work and want to play and work in Calgary, only 20 minutes away.”

The building theme is light, fresh and enjoyable, with vibrant, yet tasteful colour schemes, private balconies (most looking into green space, parks or recreation facilities) and well-lit, secure surroundings with a welcome concierge drop off. The interiors offer nine-foot ceilings, ample storage and an optional appliance package where clients can customize their homes to meet their lifestyle needs. Baiton says the most challenging part of building The Breeze was designing the site to fit in with a previously 100 per cent single-family residential neighbourhood, that compliments and maintains the beauty of the bayside community in Airdrie.

Over the next six years, the Generations multi-family division is aiming to deliver in excess of 13,000 townhomes, condominium apartment-style homes and resort homes in development communities including: Taralake, Taravista, Bayside, Saddle Ridge, Sage Hill Meadows, the Canals, Kincora, Sherwood and Sagehill.

The Breeze is located at 2370 Bayside Road in Airdrie (at the corner of Yankee Valley Boulevard and 8 Street West).
