Sanderson Ridge: Condos on Fish Creek Park
The ultimate in refined condo living on the cusp of Fish Creek Park
HOW WOULD YOU like to wake up to the sounds of birds chirping in the early morning or hear the wind passing through trees and shrubs?
Or how about being able to spend your mornings walking amidst the quiet of Fish Creek Park’s trail ways? Or maybe as you meander along, even include a bit of history that is part and parcel of Fish Creek Park. For those discriminating few, that answer may be Sanderson Ridge, Medican Development’s latest offering for the 40-and-over market. Located along the edge of Fish Creek Park in the southwest, Sanderson Ridge’s residents have the enviable luxury of being able to walk right into Fish Creek Park’s trails, “It’s a plus when you consider that Sanderson Ridge offers residents unparalleled luxury within the condominium complex,” says Marg Carmichael, sales associate for the development.
Sanderson Ridge blends well with its natural setting, taking its cues from the rustic surroundings of Fish Creek Park. The mountain style, country type condominium complex will have exteriors of stone, hardy plank, concrete tile roofing to the log pillars found along the balconies and inside the two storey entranceways. Sanderson Ridge also offers future residents impressive nature views from within their own balconies.
The 350-unit, four-storey apartment style condominiums have 30 different floor plans developed in four phases. Phase Three will open in February. The floor plans range from one-bedroom, one-bedroom-with-den, two-bedroom and two-bedroom-plus-den ranging in size from 700 to over 1,700 square-feet. The majority of the suites offerings range from 1,200 square-feet up. “About 80 per cent of the units will be facing or have a view or partial view of Fish Creek Park,” says Carmichael.
Geared for those aged 40 and over, buyer profiles include empty nesters who go south for the winter, or those who buy a condo property in Calgary while owning a resort property elsewhere. And Sanderson Ridge fits the discriminating buyer’s bill to a tee where luxury and unrivalled amenities are concerned. “There will be a grand entry on the main floor, much like a main street,” says Carmichael.
The project’s overwhelming number of amenities include a pool, hot tub, steam and exercise room, a post office, a movie theatre, a lounge with a games room, a crafts room, a coffee shop and bar, a wine making room and even a bowling alley.
Meanwhile, residents with overnight visitors have the use of eight guest suites and a multi-purpose room for private functions. There will be a car wash basin and underground heated parking stall with storage room in the basement. The apartments can be accessed via five elevators found all over the complex. For those shopping expeditions, residents have access to a host of shops and services in Evergreen and Shawnessy. And with the outdoors right by your doorstep, there are tons of health and fitness activities for those who like the active lifestyle.
When it comes to the unit features, expect nothing less than the best. Each suite comes with granite countertops, and tiled kitchen floors, bathrooms and entryways. Upgraded appliances such as a garbage disposal unit, washer and dryer and air conditioners come with each unit. “Residents can also pick out from different colour palettes for their units, from cupboards to floorings,” says Carmichael.
It’s apparent that the main attraction of Sanderson Ridge is its proximity to Fish Creek Park. “With these surroundings where mountains and nature complement the development, it’s simply beautiful,” says Carmichael.
