Meet Alex

A south Calgary condo with lofty aspirations

Like Cher, Madonna, or Sting, Alex goes by one name only. Such is the case when something is truly unique, or ‘one of a kind’.

And that’s definitely the best way to describe Alex, the newest condominium offering from Assured Communities. In fact, in addition to a sub-beltline location that’s absolutely to die for, Alex sets a new standard on options that many buyers in our city are looking for.

Tucked into a mature residential neighbourhood, the multi-family development consists of a total of 17 two-storey loft-style townhomes, with just five remaining for sale at time or writing. “Alex is a project that has been received by buyers exceptionally well,” says Crossley.

Homes are sized at around 1,100 square-feet, with two-bedroom, or one-bedroom plus a very large den or flex room, floor plan options — each with two-and-half baths.

There are six different interior colour palettes to choose from, allowing buyers to add their own personal design signature to the décor of their homes. “On the other side of 14th Ave, from exclusive Mount Royal, South Calgary is the new place to be, it has some of Calgary’s most impressive infill’s, typically priced a million dollars or more,” says Crossley. “Alex is an excellent entry point into the area.

Homes here are starting from around $439,900 plus GST, and for the townhomes facing the courtyard they start at around $499,900 plus GST.

So far, Alex is proving to be very popular with young professionals looking for a home that is both close to where they work — but not too close — and also close to all the amenities that they want. The homes are also appealing to downsizers who want that lock-and-leave lifestyle, all the while having a comfortable home to come back too. Really, though, the unique design checks all the right boxes for a wide variety of buyers who want a condominium home that is like no other — which is exactly what Alex is: a project that allows people to enjoy a two-storey home.
