Walden Place is at the intersection of affordability, style and convenience

2017 shaped up to be the best performing year ever at Cardel Lifestyles. Brayden Logel, Director of Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience, says the 243 sales as of mid-December 2017 tops the previous company record of 242 achieved in 2007. Further, the 272 possessions recorded during 2017 also marks a new company record. “This shows how we’ve been able to earn the trust of buyers… they are confident in the quality and value they are getting from Cardel Lifestyles’ condos and townhomes,” he summarizes.

The multi award-winning developer is looking to build on this momentum with the upcoming release of its third building at their hit development, Walden Place. Located in Walden at a perfect intersection between the relaxed calmness of natural parkland and the convenience of surrounding commercial centers, Walden Place checks all the boxes that homebuyers are looking for. “The second building is already 70 per cent sold with possessions scheduled for late spring,” Brayden says. “We’re confident that this third building will continue the successful run that Walden Place has seen.”

Launching in early February, the third building will feature 83 modern apartment-style condos. The builder will be tweaking their existing Walden Place condo show suites to better visualize what life in building three will look like. “These units will have nine-foot ceilings, the biggest windows seen in the Calgary condo market, and the best standard package offered in the industry, including quartz countertops and upgraded vinyl flooring — all of which come with the purchase of a home here,” says Brad Logel, area sales manager for the Walden Place development.

As mentioned, a key to that success is its location in this beautiful southeast community where suburban serenity and thriving commerce converge. “The new commercial area opening in early 2018 will have a Tim Hortons, a gas bar, a dental clinic and other services that our residents will find will make their lives easier,” he states. This is just the first phase of a large-format retail area that is being developed on the south side of 210 Avenue that will bring in even more dining, entertainment and shopping amenities — including another major grocery store — to the area. Meanwhile, Genstar Developments — the developers of Walden — are in the midst of finishing the massive green space at Walden Drive and Walden Common. “This beautiful park and natural area gives all residents the opportunity to enjoy recreational pursuits and an active lifestyle.” Brad adds.

This new Walden area has sites designated for both a public elementary and a separate junior high school. It will also include a completed soccer field, baseball diamond to be completed in 2018, community center, and fire hall. North of that, completing the 40-acre open space site, are the ponds that will be surrounded by two kilometers of pathways by the fall of 2018.

In all, Walden Place will consist of 424 apartment-style condos and 40 townhomes, making it Cardel Lifestyle’s second largest development, and already their most successful.
