Developments in north and south Calgary marks Brad Remington Homes’ growth

Brad Remington Homes knows the power of value; how their clients perceive, afford and take pride in their homes has proven key to its success. And that success has brought this young condo developer to new heights with simultaneous undertakings in both the north and south Calgary.


Brad Remington Homes first made its mark in 2011 with the launch of Copperfield Park in south Calgary. In 2018 — and about 19 residential condo buildings later, including the vastly popular My Legacy Park — Brad Remington Homes is embarking on their first development in north Calgary with Sage Hill Park.

In fact, work on Sage Hill Park is soon to begin, even as sales for their second My Legacy Park development have already started. “We’ve had a very successful run in sales last year, we couldn’t have been happier with how things turned out,” says Bryan Logel, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Brad Remington Homes.

They had such a busy 2017 that the sales launch for My Legacy Park II had to be moved up. “The surge in demand was a pleasant surprise,” he adds.

At a time when the effects of the oil slow down can still be felt in the market, Brad Remington Homes has enjoyed strong sales. Logel attributes their success to their ability to cater to the wishes of homebuyers.

“Our ‘Love It, Live It, Afford It’ way of building condos has certainly resounded, even if the market is slow people will still want affordable, stylish homes that they can be proud of.”

Brad Remington Homes’ ability to find the right community for their developments has also played a role in its accomplishments.

Logel says they have been remarkably lucky to be part of the growth of such terrific communities like Copperfield and Legacy in the south, and their new development in the northwest community of Sage Meadows continues the trend. “Finding the right neighbourhood and the contextual design of our products — that is how our condos fit and blend into a particular neighbourhood, and not just in how it looks but in the lifestyle it offers — is something we are very proud of.”

Sage Hill Park is going up in what the company believes will be the next corridor of growth in Calgary.

Brad Remington, president of Brad Remington Homes, announced on November 16, 2017, that they were able to secure nine acres of land in Genesis Land Developments’ Sage Meadows community in the North West to build Sage Hill Park.

“We’ve had our eye on this land for a long time, it’s a beautiful parcel, backing onto a park,” Remington says during the event announcing Sage Hill Park. “It’s located in an already established community with an abundance of existing amenities in place.”

“Simply put, the location is nothing short of incredible, with a pathway that follows the escarpment and is just steps from the development.” Logel adds that Sage Hill Park is “positioned in the centre of what will become the Gateway to the new North.”

He adds that the shopping, entertainment, dining and residential establishments that can already be found existing in the area today will pale in comparison to what will be there in the future. “There is tremendous growth potential for the as yet undeveloped area north of 144th Avenue N.W.”

Sage Hill Park will have approximately 600 condo-style apartments over two phases (eight buildings). The plan is in the early stages of the approval process, so sizes and prices aren’t yet available, but Brad Remington Homes expects sales to start by the second quarter of 2018.

“We expect to be starting construction at the site by this time next year,” says Gil Leroux, Vice President of Construction for Brad Remington Homes. “It’s an ambitious plan, I know, but we’ve done this before.”

My Legacy Park II, on the other hand, is already off and running and is selling as robustly as Brad Remington Homes expected. “We are exactly where we want to be in regards to My Legacy Park II,” Logel adds.

Their second development in the award-winning community of Legacy offers an even more extensive and affordable selection. “One of the most amazing accomplishments we have here is that people who never thought they could afford a two-bedroom plan have a great option with our G-plus plan, which at 643 square-feet is only at $169,000 plus GST,” he says.

“We are very positive on Calgary for 2018, and we are doing our part in helping with this growth by providing people with opportunities to buy a home that is affordable, beautifully designed and located in great neighbourhoods that are accessible and rich with amenities,” Logel says.
