Radius moves to on-site presentation centre in Bridgeland

Construction of Radius by Bucci Developments is getting closer to completion, as it marks a major milestone with the move of its presentation centre to its on-site location in the heart of Bridgeland.


The original presentation centre with its one bedroom mock suite had been in an off-site location off 4th Street N.E., but as Radius nears completion, Bucci Developments will be opening their new sales office and two new show suites inside the Radius building on February 24.

As the 11th project in Calgary, and fourth in Bridgeland, by Vancouver-based Bucci Developments’ Radius undoubtedly delivers on the Bucci promise of building quality developments in outstanding locations.

Radius is a seven-storey concrete building perched on Centre Avenue and 9th Street N.E. overlooking Murdoch Park, offering a wide range of floor plans; from one- and two- bedrooms, to two-bedrooms plus den, and penthouse suites, for a total of 201 homes.

“The location of Radius is unique,” says Chelsey Marshall, Sales and Marketing Manager at Bucci Developments, “because we are so close to downtown with panoramic views of the skyline and quick access to the C-Train, the Core, and river pathways — yet we are park-side in the quiet and well-established community of Bridgeland. The spot also has easy access to major roadways, allowing you to get anywhere you need to be in 20 – 30 minutes. If you want to leave your car at home, there are tons of bike paths and walkways to get to other inner city communities.

The historic community has seen a revival since The Bridges redevelopment project started in 1998 and it now enters its final phase. Radius is a key part of the redevelopment as it provides modern, stylish and affordable multi-family housing to a wide range of buyers in the area. The concrete construction of the building also pays homage to the Italian roots of the neighbourhood with its brick accented base that transitions to elegant glass as the building rises.

There will be two new show suites at the on-site location. Both are two-bedroom models, one is a corner unit and the other is an interior junior two-bedroom.

According to Marshall, the junior two- bedroom layout has been most popular with buyers, as it offers real flexibility and great value starting at $370,000 with two-bedrooms, two full bathrooms, titled parking and storage.

The second show suite is a larger two-bedroom plus den floor plan, one of the largest corner units that Radius has to offer. These larger corner units start around $635,000 and prices cap out at $850,000 for the largest penthouse unit still available.

Marshall says that “All of the beautiful finishings that make up our two gorgeous style schemes, the 360 and the 180, will be on display later this month when we open our new show suites.” Both schemes were curated in partnership with Portico Design Group to achieve a design that is tailored to support the owner’s lifestyle, something that buildings built by Bucci Developments are known for.

Every unit in Radius offers ample storage and stunning standard finishes to complete every square foot of each home.

“Natural wood materials have been used for our thoughtfully appointed cabinetry, which in the kitchen is complimented by sturdy but beautiful full-sized appliances from Bosch and Fisher & Paykel, quarts countertops, and a gorgeous full-height quartz backsplash. In the bathrooms, manufactured marble tiles and oversized mirrors bring elegance and sense of established luxury,” Marshall says about the standard finishings that are available in all homes in place of optional upgrades.

Mike Bucci, the vice president of Bucci Developments also says “Our Radius development is being built during a time when we have the best pick of construction trades. The level of fit and finish represents a value proposition that I think any downsizer or young home buyer will have a tough time saying no to.”

Radius is now over 50 per cent sold, and Chelsey says “many buyers find the five per cent deposit and aggressive price points appealing, especially with an early 2019 possession date.”

With Radius, Bucci has designed a building they hope will be relevant for years to come. The building is LEED registered and features a number of thoughtful and sustainable details — including a large installation of solar panels on the roof- in addition to the many practical amenities the building has to offer.

Radius also has a concierge service and over 8,000 square-feet of shared amenities, like fitness centre, yoga studio, pet wash, a roof top terrace and so much more.
