The Riverside Quays
Statesman’s Certified Built Green™ community on The Bow
No matter the season or the weather, living on the banks of the Bow River is like having your own personal meditation hideaway.
You can take a walk or jog alongside to imitate the ebb and flow of the nearby waters. These images are easy to conjure if your future address will be Statesman’s certified Built Green™ Riverside Quays in Inglewood. “The Riverside Quays is a 14-acre project that is right on the banks of the Bow River next to Pearce Estate Park,” says Ken Andrade, Sales Consultant for Statesman.
Any development that affords residents to live near the river in a protected park and wetlands is a steal; couple that with over 30 years of home building experience of the Statesman Group of companies, and the assurance that the multi-family project follows the Built Green™ program, and you have a winner. The first phase of the development is already taking shape. “To show our clients how serious we are in our commitment to give them the best in lifestyle options, our first phase will have a 14,000-square-foot health club and spa, a café bistro, fitness classes and an owner’s lounge,” says Andrade.
The condo suites of the first phase will range in size from $250,000, 734-square-foot condos all the way up $550,000 for the 2,200-square-foot units. Should a client wish to combine two condos into one, Statesman will be more than glad to accommodate. “Since we are the general contractor, the client gets a three hour consultation with our design centre, so you can customize your interiors all the way down to the electrical layout,” says Andrade.
Green living is not just a fashion statement at Riverside Quays either. The buildings will be built of steel and concrete. “When a client wants to downsize, we recommend they live in steel and concrete buildings. It doesn’t shrink, doesn’t burn nor is it prone to mould. It lasts longer and performs better at noise reduction,” says Andrade. Other key green features include low flow toilets and efficient Low-E windows that helps keep the heat in the winter and heat out in the summer. Residents will have the luxury of “seeing green,” with 730 trees (not including shrubs) that will be planted along the property. “As part of the Built Green™ program, we buried a 200,000-gallon retention tank that collects rainwater to water all of the landscaping within the development.”
The community is modelled after Statesman’s Toscana project just outside Scottsdale, Arizona. Riverside Quays will also emulate historic Inglewood’s architecture, from the brick exteriors to the flat rooftops.
Other perks that go along with a condo lifestyle include 24-hour security, unmatched underground parking for all residents, plus the assurance only a gated community can offer. Statesman will also be providing a shuttle service for those working in Calgary’s downtown area. Location being paramount, Riverside Quays is close to Inglewood, with easy access to Blackfoot and Deerfoot Trail.
The Anchor, Riverside Quays’ SAM Award winning, 1,056-square-foot, two-bedroom, and two-bath show suite gives residents a perspective on what their own condos could look like. The great use of space, designer worthy cabinets, elegant door casings, and stainless steel appliances are just some of the many customizable elements offered by Statesman. “The Anchor will be a ground and second floor suite with an open patio,” says Andrade, adding that residents from the third to the sixth floor will have an all glass sunroom that can be used year round.
