The Breeze

Convenience and style at an affordable Airdrie price

There’s a reason they call the new multi-family project by Generations Developments in Airdrie “The Breeze.” Because of financing, location, price and ownership options it makes the decision to buy “a breeze”.

Take a great location in an estate neighbourhood surrounded by six kilometres of canals, greenery and city amenities, add one, two and three-bedroom condos with heated underground parking or an executive three-bedroom townhome with a double-attached garage with low condo fees for a maintenance-free lifestyle, and you’ve got The Breeze.

The choice is clear: who wouldn’t want a quality stylish home in a great neighbourhood at an affordable price? Yet there’s more! Consider that Generations Developments is the newest division of Genesis Land Development Corporation, a multi-award winning developer that has been in the Calgary area for nearly two decades. “Because we are both the land developer and the builder,” says Corey O’Neil, sales and marketing co-ordinator with Genesis Builders Group, “we achieve significant savings which we pass along to our buyers.”

With condos starting in the low $200,000s and town homes in the low $300,000s, including GST, you get exceptional value without making any sacrifices.

In fact, you’ll get more than you bargained for in the 1,611-square-foot (total square feet of living space including optional finished rec room) townhome model complete with extra sound barrier insulation and dual-paned Low-E Titan windows. The front door entering on the third level is greeted by a spacious living room with a cathedral ceiling. A wall of windows brightens the living room and extends through paint-grade railing into the second floor office and powder room. The show suite’s inviting décor takes a hint from the great outdoors, surrounding the building with its deep browns and greens.

Offering a choice of three different interior packages, this particular show suite features mocha cabinets with off-white granite speckled in rustic bronze and honey in the kitchen. Stainless appliances, tile flooring and a large island with drawers add to the “chef-quality” kitchen. An over-sized balcony off the kitchen “brings the outdoors in”, according to O’Neil, and ties the second floor in nicely.

Up the stairs on the landing, you will find a roomy carpeted storage space for things you’ll want to keep out of sight but within reach. Dannette Monteyne, area sales specialist with Genesis Builders Group, says “You could use it for anything but kids seem to love it as a hiding place as well!”

Three bedrooms, two full baths and a stackable washer/dryer complete the upper floor with room to spare in the wide hallway. The master bedroom offers a walk-in closet and full ensuite following the rest of the home in nature inspired style and furnishings.

With selling points like these, it’s no wonder the Oceana and Laguna floor plans were named finalists for Best Townhome under $349,999 and the Best Apartment Style Condo in the CHBA Calgary Region’s annual SAM Awards!

And the interior décor is just part of the attraction of these immaculate townhomes. In the estate community of Bayside, mature trees, six kilometres of water canals and walking paths are the norm, so the Rocky Mountain exterior finishing is very appropriate. “The units enclose a play park,” says Monteyne. “And there is a hockey rink just across the street.”

Green space is abundant for you to enjoy recreational activities outdoors in the warmer months and this all-in-one developer has a solution for the cooler months as well. Skating on the canals and Genesis Place—a 72,000-square-foot leisure and wellness centre which features an aquatic centre, gymnasium, weight room and meeting rooms—is less than a 10-minute drive away. All other amenities including the city centre are merely minutes away.

In addition to the townhomes, the development will include a three-storey main building housing 89 well appointed one, two and three-bedroom apartment style condo suites ranging in size from 727 up to 1,378 square-feet. Each of the five different floor plans comes with impressive features such as nine-foot ceilings, four-inch baseboards, designer lighting packages, six appliances, full maple kitchens with brushed-chrome hardware and the luxury of heated underground parking. The two and three-bedroom units offer the added convenience of two full baths. All of the units also boast large outdoor terraces so everyone can enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of the area.

Naturally, another reason to purchase in Airdrie is the close proximately to Calgary but O’Neil says there is an investment opportunity here as well. With the Calgary Ring Road, the mall in Balzac and the Stoney Industrial Park coming up soon O’Neil says you could expect about 70,000 people moving to this region—most of which will be looking for homes.

Condo and townhome units are now available, so catch a breeze while you still can and enjoy a big city life in nature’s backyard.
