Alluring Alora
Jayman’s Aspire Condo Living in Sunset Ridge is wooing buyers with nature
Waking up to mountain vistas far from the hurly burly of the urban world, fresh air and greenery as soon as you step out the door, the honk of geese instead of cars. This is the allure of Alora in Sunset Ridge, another multi-family masterpiece by Jayman set in the quiet, quaint town of Cochrane.
Jayman’s Aspire Condo Living has combined Cochrane’s small town charm and the appeal of the outdoors with unobstructed mountain views, to give Alora a timeless beauty. Set on a three-hectare site by the edge of a natural ravine in the new community of Sunset Ridge, Alora’s three buildings are designed to be part of the scenery and retain that refined country feel.
The exterior boasts a pastoral influence and a neo-classical style with a rich blend of natural shades and brick detail to seamlessly fit into the scenery.
“The layout of the community itself preserves the natural beauty of the landscape and seamlessly incorporates rich green spaces and numerous walking paths into this pristine setting,” says area sales manager, Gwen Utigard.
“Best of all, all three phases of Alora will have unobstructed views of the scenery and the floor plans all feature designs like bigger windows and spacious decks that will allow owners the maximum enjoyment of this pristine environment,” she adds. “Nowhere else in Cochrane is such a spectacular view available.”
The scenery isn’t the only thing going for Alora. As with any Aspire Condo Living by Jayman development, every convenience and amenity has been thought through for it’s first multi-family project in Cochrane. Guest suites are available in each building, heated underground parking and surface parking are available, storage units are provided in the parkade level and gas lines to the patio/deck are in place for barbecues.
All of its total 225 suites are gloriously furnished with higher-than-standard appliance and amenities package. They feature maple flat-panel shaker style cabinets in four stain selections, full-height ceramic tile backsplash in kitchen, designer light fixtures, brushed nickel door hardware and low-E windows and exterior door glazing. Energy Star rated GE and Moffat appliances are provided including a washing machine, refrigerator, dryer and microwave.
“Jayman is know for giving its buyers top-of-the-line appliance packages as standard, in fact, there isn’t much in the show suite that have been upgraded,” Utigard says.
But asides from the features that can be seen, Alora also has a ton of desirable details hidden from view, most important of which is the care given to soundproofing each unit in the wood-frame buildings.
“We have taken extra care in ensuring that sound does not travel from unit to unit. We have double sub floors between floors and there is almost a foot of wall space separating party walls and common spaces with your neighbour,” she says.
Each building offers one- and two-bedroom units in seven distinct floor plans to fit individual lifestyles. In Phase I units range from 582 square-feet to 941 square-feet, while Phase II will have slightly bigger models from 584 square-feet to 972 square-feet. “Designs are very flexible and allows buyers to personalize their unit to suit their purposes,” Utigard says.
The show suite is a perfect example of the delightful design package. Although the corkboard flooring and the designer brick wall are upgrades most other features are standard. “The Moen taps, Decora paddle switches and nine-foot ceilings, which are usually upgrades anywhere else, are standard in Alora,” she says.
Not surprisingly, sales have taken off since it began in May with 80 per cent of the 83 units in Phase I have been sold already, while the 59 units for Phase II have just recently been released. With a starting price of $209,900, it is no wonder they have been so popular.
Alora embodies the perfect balance of countryside living and big-city amenities, as Cochrane has a wealth of shops, restaurants and bistros (including the popular McKays Ice Cream parlor), and is still just a 30-minute drive to downtown Calgary.
“We have been attracting a lot of young professionals, empty nesters and snow birds who are attracted by the maintenance free living accommodations; it’s really like coming home to a five-star luxury hotel in the mountains,” Utigard says. CL
