Fresh, fashionable & forever functional
Tweed condominium development exudes more than just style
Located in Calgary’s urban mecca, Tweed Condominiums is a perfect fit for one of the cities longest-standing and most desirable communities to live in, Cliff Bungalow.
Located in the heart of the neighbourhood at 1730 – 5A Street S.W., the development is just one block off of the ever-trendy 17th Avenue and close to the fine dining and eclectic shopping on 4th Street S.W.
The fantastic location borders downtown yet still has a quiet and calm neighbourhood feel. It’s within walking distance to all major amenities including shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, fitness centres, the Saddledome and Stampede grounds, public transit and only a five-minute walk to the downtown core.
“Tweed condominiums fits the old and the new vibe, of the area,” says Louise Jefferies, marketing manager of the 33-suite development.
Designers were contracted for the building’s interior and exterior themes. Tweed is a concrete building with a vibrantly bold brick façade, with the use of large windows and lots of glass offering a great deal of natural sunlight and breathtaking views.
“Wrought iron elements complete the inner city esthetic,” adds Jefferies, who also says the beautiful patio areas, lovely large brick planters and extra outdoor living space provide privacy.
The exterior is finished to capture the essence of the Cliff Bungalow/Mission area. The interior is finished with a modern urban feel.
“My favourite aspect of Tweed is its location, its finishing, and the overall feel of quality throughout the development; and the variety of plans available” says Jefferies. “The location is fabulous and the fact that the building is made of concrete, brick and stucco is very appealing to homebuyers.”
The 33 contemporary suites are sleek and modern with large patios, spacious balconies and swanky penthouse lofts. There’s secure, heated underground parking and prices include a separately titled parking stall. There are also two elevators in the building.
Suites range from approximately 700 to 1,600 square-feet and prices range from $350,000 to $840,000. Suites range from lush one bedrooms with tech area; two-bedroom suites; two-bedroom with den; to select penthouse loft units with two bedrooms and den.
“You’ll find clean lines, superior finishing, contemporary lighting, sleek cabinets and cool hardware,” says Jefferies. “Make your mark with a great finishing selection package of hardwood floors, stunning granite counters and stainless steel appliances.”
All suites are finished with wood floors throughout the main living areas, granite with under-mounted sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms, a stainless appliance package, washer and dryer and more.
“All one-bedroom suites have a full ensuite in addition to a powder room,” says Jefferies of the ample sized bathrooms. “Two-bedroom suites have minimum master ensuite and full bath, depending on the layout you choose.”
An environmentally sound living space is key adds Jefferies. “The building’s exterior is brick and stucco with low maintenance balconies, stone patio areas, large planters with trees both front, back and alongside of the building; inside, there are low flush toilets and energy star appliances.”
The show suite opens to the public and potential homebuyers on May 23rd. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
