Luxe developments’ VU
Opulent appointments, sights of cityscape live up to Bridgeland condo’s moniker
Luxe Developments has scored another hit with its latest offering, located at 414 Meredith Rd N.E., the 26-unit VŪ overlooks the Calgary skyline and is visually stunning, both inside and out.
“The opening weekend for the show suite has been extremely busy, response has been excellent and we are looking forward to more,” Luxe’s Cara Ferguson tells Condo Living.
Foot traffic during the show suite’s opening weekend was phenomenal and guests’ comments on what it has to offer have been extremely encouraging, she adds.“VŪ is scheduled for completion at the end of November, and from the looks of it there may only be a few units left by then.”
Explaining why VŪ has been such a hit is easy: it offers a complete package, says Ferguson.
First of all is its golden location in the scenic community of Bridgeland on a quiet street just off Edmonton Trail, residents having the convenience of walking to the downtown core. “If you work downtown, living in VŪ would be aces,” Ferguson says.
There is also an eclectic collection of shops and restaurants to be found in the neighbourhood, itself, and there are also numerous riverside biking and walking trails nearby handy for the outdoor types.
The view from the upper floors of the four-storey building is also unbeatable, giving residents a panoramic shot of the cityscape and the river, Ferguson says . “In this way, VŪ certainly lives up to its name,” she says. Big windows in each unit and the nine-foot ceilings also serve to further enhance this feeling of spacious luxury.
As any Luxe Developments project, VŪ comes with the finest in interior finishing. “With this particular project, we went more for the upscale contemporary style. This clean, modern styling seems to resonate with a variety of demographics especially the upwardly mobile young professional,” Ferguson says.
“Best of all, what is normally considered an upgrades is standard in VŪ,” she adds. “We came up with an interior package so buyers wouldn’t have to worry about upgrading.”
That includes the ultra posh Caesar Stone quartz countertops in the kitchen, Birch hardwood flooring (all units have in-floor radiant heating), sexy Sirius taps and shower heads, and a stainless steel kitchen appliance package, plus washer and dryer.
Easy living convenience was kept in mind and all units have plenty of cabinets and storage spaces, there are no dead spaces as every square inch was designed to serve a purpose, she says.
The silver screen blinds are also part of the standard features and bring a dramatic design punch both to the interior and exterior of the unit. “The blinds complement the aluminum clad windows and the cedar with metal railing on the deck of each unit,” Ferguson says.
An elevator from the basement parking to the top floor adds convenience and each unit includes one titled parking space in the heated garage.
Available suites range from 800 to 1,250 square-feet and are priced from $325,600 to $488,000. “Response to the unique design and layouts has been tremendous and we really feel as though the attention to detail has caught the eye of many prospective buyers,” Ferguson points out.
In the relatively short time since it entered the Calgary condo landscape in 2003, Luxe Developments has established a name for itself with a string of exemplary multi-residential projects, including the Exul and Mantra, both of which were unqualified successes.
“Solea is another project which is currently under construction and we are also preparing to launch a new project in Mount Pleasant as well as Heron Point, our resort property in Invermere, B.C.,” Ferguson says. “That’s what the company is all about—living up to its word and delivering on its promises.”
