Wasn’t that a party?!
“We didn’t have one at our ground breaking, so we’re having a party now,” says Brenda Kelly, Director of Sales and Marketing for Bucci’s Xenex condos.
Hey, give me an excuse to drink free blue-coloured vodka-based cocktails and I’m there! Aside from the cool drinks and fancy hors d´ouevres, however, what people really showed up to see – both the press and potential buyers – was how the condo project itself is coming along. The answer – quite nicely, thank you.
It will take about six months just to dig down (there’s four levels of underground parking) and then build back up to grade, says Kelly, of construction on the 18-storey highrise located in the downtown design district along 12th Avenue SW. When complete in Fall 2008, the building will feature 150 suites ranging from just over 500 square feet to over 2,000 square feet in size. Prices range from about $230,000 for a studio suite to a little over $676,000 for a townhome style. Nine different floor plans are available, including unique live/work units designed especially for people who work from home.
Sales have been moving briskly; in fact, all the three-bedroom units are already sold out!
“We started selling in February last year,” says Kelly. “We took a break from sales from June until November to get caught up, and now we’re going full speed again.” Currently, she says, the project is about 65 per cent sold. Here’s hoping there’s another party when they hit 75 per cent.
