Nautical launch for Cardel

Shelley Williamson

Leave it to Cardel Lifestyles to pull out all the stops for the much-anticipated grand opening of its Lighthouse Landing project in north-central Country Hills.

Not only was the September 27 launch marked with a seafaring theme (and yummy east coast-themed fare from Red Tree), but Cardel Lifestyles also even managed to get Mayor Dave Bronconnier on board to do the honours.

“It’s awesome to see such a wide-open area to the water that everyone can enjoy,” said Bronconnier, citing the large water feature adjacent the site after cutting the massive ribbon to inaugurate the lakeside gazebo.

When complete, Lighthouse Landing will be one of the largest multi-family developments in North America, counting 20 acres and 511 homes, a gazebo, storm water retention lake and three-and-a-half-storey lighthouse among offerings. In all, Cardel’s largest address will boast 304 apartment-style condominiums spanning from 624 to 988 square-feet in five, four-storey buildings paired with 207 courtyard and garage-style town-homes from just over 1,000 to 1,260 square-feet.

“Lighthouse Landing is in a great location,” said Erin Stevens, Cardel’s project and marketing co-ordinator. “It is on the edge of a large storm water retention lake behind the Country Hills Town Centre, which consists of 94 hectares of shops, services, restaurants and cinemas. And the project is also unique in that it features a lakeside gazebo and a gorgeous three-and-a-half storey lighthouse.”

Five show suites—three apartment-style condo and a pair of brand-new two-storey townhouses—are now open to showcase home styles available at Lighthouse Landing, which boasts affordable price tags from the $280,000s and the low-$300,000s respectively. The New England-inspired addresses are flanked by 40 per cent greenspace, and, not surprisingly, are already about half-sold.
