The Canadian Home Builders’ Association — Calgary Region, announced the winners of the 2009 SAM Awards the evening of Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the 23nd Annual SAM Awards Gala.

The black-tie affair is a premier event within Calgary’s home building industry calendar. Hosted by comedian Sugar Sammy, over 1,200 guests, representing every sector of the industry, were on hand to salute 2009 SAM Award finalists and, ultimately, the award recipients.

Perhaps to no one’s surprise, Morrison Homes once again walked off with Builder of the Year honours – their 9th straight title. Also having a big night were Ashton Homes, with a total of five awards, including Builder of Merit. In the multi-family categories, Rockford and Medican were both multiple award winners, with Rockford getting the nod as Multi-Family Builder of the Year.
