Rivait is new CHBA Alberta exec
Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Alberta (CHBA – Alberta) President, Baldev (Deep) Singh Shergill announced the appointment of Jim Rivait as the association’s Executive Officer.
“CHBA – Alberta is excited to welcome Rivait to the organization. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his past experience and volunteer activities and we look forward to having him on board,” Shergill says.
Jim Rivait is a government relations, strategic communications and association management professional. For the last eight years, Rivait was vice-president of a national trade association during which time he was the lead negotiator involved in the extensive legislative reforms. He was responsible for communicating industry issues and positions to government and the public.
Rivait’s experiences and background is expected to lead CHBA-Alberta through the challenges of the times. The organization is the voice of the residential construction industry in the province and represents over 1,400 members. Alberta’s residential construction industry contributes billions to Alberta’s economy. CHBA – Alberta has two main goals; to promote housing quality, affordability and choice and to build vibrant, prosperous Alberta communities.
